THE WARRIORS
We still have no record of the presence of warriors in the earliest phase of La Almoloya because we have not found burials from that occupation. However, deer antlers were recorded on the floor of some houses. Since their characteristics are similar to that of halberds, it is possible that they are their prototype and that they were present throughout their development. These antlers were also recorded in early levels of La Bastida. The halberd is the first specialized weapon we know in the Argaric. It is a blunt object, made for striking blows and composed of a wooden handle that incorporates at one of its ends a copper tip between 14 and 24 cm in length, and with a more or less triangular shape.
