CET Designer 3.0 releases June 18. The primary benefit of CET Designer 3.0 is the new User-based license model, which means Users can install and use CET Designer on as many computers as they want. It is simply managed by the User’s login info (a MyConfiguraID) to verify a valid license. CET Designer 3.0 also includes the launch of MyConfigura, a community where you can store projects and share information via the Internet. meet Tasha Mueller, CET Designer User
Nick Kuzmin, Employee of the Month
For three years, Tasha Mueller was the lead vocalist in an all-girl rock band.
Nick Kuzmin joined Configura’s Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Support and Training team in April.
She still loves to sing – but she also loves to design. And, after seeing the rendering she created for our June calendar, we think she’s a CET Designer rock star!
He’s already taken a lot of Help Desk calls, so you may have personally gotten to know Nick’s voice or had an e-chat with him.
She’s learned how to use the technology to her creative advantage in a very short amount of time. Tasha graduated with honors from the Visual College of Art and Design of Vancouver, receiving her diploma in interior design in March 2011. Steelcase dealer Heritage Office Furnishings in Vancouver hired her as a project space planner just three months later, and she’s been using CET Designer ever since. In less than a year, she’s become proficient in all aspects of the software. “I love using CET Designer because it allows you to create 2D and 3D plans simultaneously, making projects much more efficient and uncomplicated,” she said. Clients love the solution: “It’s always great hearing clients’ comments on the renderings. They are amazed that we can show their space with our furniture in it, and with such detail. It really makes a strong impression.” As a designer and an artist, Tasha says inspiration can come from anyone or anything – “you can think up an idea and make it reality,” she said.
“I like the fact that everyone here genuinely seems to enjoy their job. People really seem to care about what they are doing,” he said of Configura. “I really like the challenges the best. I love learning and troubleshooting a wide ranges of issues,” Nick said. His favorite thing about CET Designer is its rendering capability: “I absolutely love rendering really beautiful design images when I see different plans.” Before Configura, Nick was the support manager for a small website developer in the Grand Rapids area, which had developed content management software for users to manage/change their own sites. There, he also provided general office networking and computer troubleshooting services and managed live and development servers. Nick attended Grand Valley State University and holds Net+ and A+ computer certifications. He has studied many Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert topics. His favorite hobby is competitive slow-pitch softball. “I play on a travel men’s tournament team and we do quite a few tournaments on the weekends. We will be headed to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, later this summer for one of the bigger national tournaments,” he said.
