Interhome will look after your guests …

Professional preparation and organisation ensure your guests have a trouble-free arrival. Wherever Interhome has a local office, experienced staff will look after your property all year round. This way your property will be carefully looked after and regularly inspected when you are away. Our resort office will greet guests on your behalf and take any break age deposit or extra charges from guests before they take up occu pation. They will also ensure the property is thoroughly cleaned between each let and fully pre pared. Any problems arising during a stay will be dealt with without delay.

At the end of the season we will do a detailed inspection of your prop erty and provide you with a report listing any possible improvements or repairs necessary. All these services are included in the admin charge. Before the season begins, your property will be made ready with your input. Interhome will take care of such works including spring or season end cleaning of the property and outbuildings along with laundering linen – these costs will be charged to you separately. «The great thing about Interhome is: I don’t have to worry about a thing.» K. Meyer, rents out his property through the Interhome office in Zermatt

6

These tasks are taken care of by the so-called keyholder. This role is either played by Interhome, yourself or your representative – you choose. You can find out more on the following pages if you are doing things yourself.

… or you greet guests yourself

Everything you need to know to ensure the smooth running of your holiday home if you are doing things yourself If you are doing this yourself or you have a keyholder, the greeting of guests and maintenance of the accommodation comes with cer tain responsibilities. Here is some advice to assist you in these im portant tasks. n Each

Interhome client will re ceive directions to the keyholder along with a «voucher» stating all the important information they need like address, keyhold er phone numbers, arrival and departure times, breakage de posit and any extra charges.

n The

holiday property must be cleaned and made ready before guests arrive to ensure it is in perfect condition. The property, outside areas and facilities must all be cleaned between bookings even if time is very limited.

n According

to our booking condi tions, guests should arrive be tween 16.00hrs and 19.00 hrs. However, we do ask for your un derstanding, should the client be delayed. The keyholder should show the guest the accommoda tion and explain how everything works. Bed linen and towels should be provided or available for hire.

n When

guests arrive, the keyhold er should check the «voucher» and collect the breakage deposit stated from the client. We re commend the property is checked together with the client

on arrival and again on departure before the deposit is returned. Any monies retained from the deposit for damage etc must be justified and detailed in writing. Guests should vacate the holiday property before 10.00hrs on the day of departure. n Extra

charges for telephone, linen hire etc that are not includ ed in the rent and any local taxes must be paid by the clients on site. Final cleaning charges, energy and heating costs are normally included in the rental price.

n If

a problem should arise during or outside a rental period, the keyholder must act immediately to rectify the problem and, if necessary, inform the owner of any repairs required and/or any thing that requires replacing.

n Interhome

sends the owner a monthly up-to-date reservations list and a weekly one to the key holder by post, email or fax. We will advise the keyholder of any last minute bookings by phone.

n The

keyholder must make alter native arrangements if he is not able to welcome guests for any reason.

Your local Interhome office will be happy to assist you with any other questions you may have regarding the keyholder’s role.

A few personal words …

Interhome’s Service Guarantee

Dear Owner, We understand how difficult the decision to rent out your holiday home can be. You own a pretty little house which you adore. You have furnished it lovingly, invested time and money in it and would ideally like to use it every available moment – if only you had the time. At the same time, you have to cover the daily running costs. It’s natural to ask certain questions: Who will be staying in my house? Will they really look after it? What if something gets broken? That’s why you should only entrust the rental of your property to an experienced and reliable partner. A partner who solely deals with the rental of holiday properties. One which has operated successfully for many years but at the same time is forward-think ing. Where the needs of each individual owner and client are paramount. A partner who operates internationally but is there on a local level as well. We would be happy to send you a tailor-made contract proposal. Just return the filled-in questionnaires. That’s the first step to a successful partnership. We would be delighted if you placed your confidence in us. Your property is in safe hands with Interhome. We guarantee it!

Roger Müller Head of Operations
