On the 9th of May in Moscow will be celebrated the 69th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The term Great Patriotic War is used in Russia and some other former republics of the Soviet Union to describe the period from 22 June 1941 to 9 May 1945 in the many fronts of the eastern campaign of World War II between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany with its allies.

Attributes Ribbon of Saint George The Ribbon of St George or St. George's Ribbon constitutes one of the most recognized and respected symbols of military valor in modern Russia.

Keep in mind that the 9,10,11th of May are holidays in Russia.

Victory Day in Moscow Victory day in Taganskiy Park On Midday at Taganskiy Park will start a colorful and interesting entertainment program. Find here live music with military songs of those days accompanied by waltz dancers.

To feel the military atmosphere at 100% here will be a special field-kitchen with easy food.

Victory Day at Poklonnay Gora The Poklonnaya Gora Park is on of the traditional place of the Victory Day celebration.

Here at Midday will start a horse show by the best horse riding school of Moscow. At 2.00PM will start to play the famous pianist Denis Matsuev.

The final touch to the show will make the Symphonic Orchestra of the Mariinskiy Theater followed by pop-music artists.

At 10.00PM will be a beautiful Firework Poklonnaya Gora 10, Bratiev Fonitchenko St., m. Park Pobedy Entrance free

Victory Day in Moscow Music Victory Day concert on Tverskaya square There are dances, live music with famous military songs, and chorus by V.M. Rybin all that and even more will be presented on the Tverskaya square. For the 9th of May! Start 4.00 PM

Expo The Glory Avenue On the Nikolskaya St. will take place an interesting exhibitions consecrated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This street expo will show the story of 12 cityheroes.

Victory Day Firework This year on the sky of Moscow will be shot more than 1000 of fireworks. The firework will be showed during 20 minutes and will be shouted at 100-300m high in the sky.

Military Parade

This year in the parade will participate more that 10 000 persons and 134 types of military machines.

The Moscow Victory Parade will start at 10.00AM. For those who still will be at home at this time will be an on-line translation on the national TV.
