International Citizen Service is extremely helpful and professional. I have been through a similar immigration process in Mexico and that was not so easy. I was really surprised by the information, help, and positive approach I got both from International Community’s website and at the office in Aarhus. I never would have imagined that a process like this could be that smooth and fast.
The newsletters are very helpful because they give my wife and I the opportunity to go out and meet not only other expats, but Danes as well. For a homebody like me, it’s the list of Danish things-to-do that gets me out of the house and into the world that we’re now a part of.

International Community arranges both social and work oriented events for all age groups as well as for individuals and families. All the events are posted at our website, and most are free of charge.
International Community developed a network to support spouses and families of international employees. The Spouse Community arranges social and business network meetings, seminars and events. Harry Ratia
International Community is a good source of tips about how things work in Denmark. It is also a good way to build a first social network as a newcomer to the country. The recent tax event was useful, because I found out what steps are needed for me to bring my car over from Sweden to Denmark.

OUR BACKGROUND International Community was established in 2008 by Erhverv Aarhus, based on a strong initiative on the part of Vestas, Danisco, Aarhus University and the City of Aarhus. Arla Foods, Bestseller and Grundfos have since joined our network. We are unique in that private companies, educational institutions and local government are collaborating in a joint effort to further develop the Aarhus region as an attractive area for international employees and their families. More than 2,300 members, including companies, international employees, accompanying spouses and internationally minded Danes have already joined us.
