The course focuses not only on improving your language ability but on improving your confidence too. We teach the learner, not the materials! The course consists of the General Course plus an additional lesson per day which focuses on a fourth area of language learning: Project-based lesson with emphasis on writing skills.
This course consists of the Intensive Course plus afternoon lessons. Students work with culture-based materials towards a final presentation. You will be exposed to cultural input and improve your presentation skills.
The lessons are based on the same concept as the Intensive Course. Working in very small groups allows you to focus on your own language needs and areas to strengthen. Together with the teacher, you can decide what you want to work on and which aspects of language you want to improve.
This course consists of two parts. In the morning you take part in the Intensive English Course. For the afternoon session, you will have a cultural lesson preparing you for an excursion. After the excursion there will be a tutorial. You will work on a small presentation relating to the cultural activities. Additionally, you will have the possibility to assess your own capabilities and receive individual tutoring.
Enjoyable lessons – effective learning We use a range of different materials, such as course books, the internet, authentic materials and your own experience. You will do a lot of pair and group work whilst focusing on project work. This will help you to assist each other to complete gaps in your knowledge and exchange ideas. Our junior package include morning lessons and a full programme of activities and excursions. Our young adult package include lessons and 5 activities per week in Bournemouth and 3 activities per week in Biarritz. For our Kids Students, under the age of 13 work with a specifically designed Young Learners’ Syllabus, based on a variety of teaching materials from different sources. This syllabus concentrates on interesting topics, contents and learning activities for younger students and is not entirely internet-based. For our Teens Students over the age of 13 work with a new internet-based curriculum. Most of our classrooms are equipped with internet access. These teaching materials facilitate access to the most up-to date and contemporary topics related to our students’ experience. For Young Adults Students aged 16 and 17 years old wanting more independence can join in with the adult lessons and programme including 5 pre-paid activities in Bournemouth and 3 pre-paid activities in Biarritz along with the required supervision.
