egun as Young American Homes in 1959 by their father, the Alford Company is currently operated by brothers, Brad and Nathan Alford. Brad is a graduate of Texas A & M University, and Nathan is a graduate of Texas State Technical College. Both have degrees in building construction science. They began their building careers straight out of college under the close supervision of their father, Ed Alford. In 1992, Brad and Nathan assumed full ownership of The Alford Company, and today, they continue building upon the legacy of their father by constructing homes of superior quality and detail.

Brad was named Builder of the Year in 1994, 2002 and 2009 while he served as president of the Heart of Texas Builders Association.
