It’s the key to successful marksmanship. So when it comes to choosing a reliable rangefinder, you can always trust the performance of one from Leica Sport Optics. The success story behind our rangefinders began in 1992. With the launch of the Geovid, Leica became the first company to offer high-performance civilian binoculars with an integrated laser rangefinder. Over the following years, we continually developed and improved our technology. In 2000, we launched the first Rangemaster and established a new standard for performance and technical sophistication.

With the introduction of the Leica Rangemaster CRF 1600, we again set a new standard for precision rangefinders. In true Leica tradition, we continued to develop our innovative technology. So now, we can introduce a brand-new member of the Rangemaster family: the CRF 1000, a perfect rangefinder for discerning entry-level marksmen. It boasts many of the technical highlights of the CRF 1600, but without the ballistics system. The following pages reveal more details about the new CRF 1000 and our other rangefinders. We hope you enjoy exploring Leica’s fascinating history and our uncompromising passion for innovation. Your Leica Sport Optics Team

What Drives us Forward ... ... is our commitment to ensure our technology is one step ahead of the rest. The foundation of the Leica Sport Optics range of products was laid more than 100 years ago. Dr Ernst Leitz was not only a photographer, he was also a passionate field sportsman. In 1907, the Binocle 6 x18 – our first binocular model – went into production. It was followed by many other products, all of the highest quality and each the result of our dedication to developing the best optical equipment in the world. ABOUT US In the 1990s, we embarked on a revolutionary project: to create binoculars that could measure the distance to a selected target at the touch of a button. In producing this groundbreaking technology, our specialists positioned premium optical Leica firmly as the unrivalled leader in innovative premium optical products.

For Us, Progress Means ...

... never resting on our laurels and always striving to set new benchmarks in the field of rangefinding. With commitment, expertise, experience, and a deeply held respect for nature, we’re constantly working on developing our products, exploring new ideas and creating new solutions. In everything we do, we prioritise responsibility, quality and safety. Every one of our rangefinders reflects our tradition of pushing the boundaries of possibility through consistent technical innovation. Our experts are continually refining our products, increasing resolution, improving contrast and making colours even more accurate, and images even sharper and brighter. We believe this is only way to create products that delivers the utmost precision – products that enable our customers to experience those unforgettable, special moments.

1992 The world’s first binoculars with an integrated rangefinder are introduced at photokina: the Geovid 7 x 42 measures distances up to approximately 1,090 yds/ 1,000 m. 2000 The Rangemaster LRF 800 is the first monocular rangefinder to enter the market. Its outstanding optical quality and compact design ensure it becomes an instant classic. 2002 Leica launches two new products. The even more powerful Rangemaster LRF 1200, which measures up to 1,200 yds/1,100 m, and the Pinmaster, developed especially for golf, which uses first-target logic to measure the distance to the pin. 2003 The new Rangemaster LRF 900 scan and the LRF 1200 scan offer a new scanning feature that delivers constantly updated measurements when the release button is held down. 2004 The new-generation Geovid BRF conquers the market. The Geovid 8 x 42 BRF and 10 x 42 BRF models are still the most compact and easy-to-use binoculars with integrated rangefinders on the market today.

06

2005 Optimised for twilight observation, the Geovid 8 x 56 BRF and 15 x 56 BRF have set new standards. The two models are the lightest, most compact rangefinder binoculars in their class. 2006 Launch of the remarkably compact Rangemaster CRF 900 and CRF 1200. Both models are held vertically, making them the first rangefinders that can be used comfortably by both left- and right-handed people. 2009 The Geovid HD range is launched: fluoride lenses ensure maximum colour fidelity and contrast. The Rangemaster CRF 800 and new Pinmaster for golf are launched. 2010 The Rangemaster CRF 1600 with integrated LAB ballistics system enters the market. This groundbreaking innovation offers performance, precision, and reliability that leaves the competition behind. 2011 The Rangemaster CRF 1000 replaces the Rangemaster 800. It features the same high-performance LED as the CRF 1600 and an AquaDura™ coating, making it the ideal entry-level option in the premium segment.

Rangemaster CRF 1000. Unique in Its Class. NEW! The new CRF 1000 is the ideal monocular rangefinder for new sportsmen who demand the best. It boasts outstanding performance and innovative technologies. And thanks to its attractive price, it makes the perfect entry-level rangefinder. With its 7 x 24mm precision optics with integrated dioptre compensation, the waterproof Rangemaster CRF 1000 makes a great partner in field. It features a new LED display – using the same technology as used in the CRF 1600 – so distance readings are always crystal clear. Even under challenging light conditions – for example, a target on white snow in bright sunlight – the LED delivers a crisp, bright, and brilliant reading. Whatever the weather, the hydrophobic AquaDura™ coating ensures that the optics are protected from environmental influences: dirt and droplets of water simply run off the surface. With its generous field of view, locating your target is effortless. Activate the precision rangefinder with the touch of a button and instantly obtain a clear, accurate reading.

Rangemaster CRF 1600. Measures More Than Just Distance. To make a clean, expert shot, you need to know the distance to your target with absolute precision. The Rangemaster CRF 1600 with 7 x magnification enables you to measure distances from 10.9 yds/10 m to 1,600 yds/1,500 m. And it delivers results in less than 0.3 seconds. Its integrated ballistics calculator with a choice of ballistics curves, a unique gradient sensor, and inbuilt temperature and barometric pressure sensors combine to give you maximum confidence. Terminal-point correction value calculations are based on 109.3 yds/100 m. With a single click, you can enter the distance reading directly into the Leica ASV fast reticleadjustment system of your riflescope’s ballistic reticle. This remarkable rangefinder is outstanding in terms of ergonomics, too. It is the only device in the premium segment that is held vertically, making it perfect for left-handers as well as right-handers. It sits comfortably in the palm of your hand and is easy to hold and carry securely, even when you’re wearing gloves.

Ballistics Calculating your bullet trajectory accurately is the key to a successful shot. This is influenced by many different factors, including distance, barometric pressure, angle of incline and temperature. The LAB® integrated ballistic system in the Rangefinder CRF 1600 takes all these influences into account. You simply choose the ballistic curve and the Rangemaster CRF 1600 shows you its holdover point. It is your ideal partner for ensuring a precise, effective shot.
