Our success story begins in 1907, when the first binoculars entered production: the Binocle 6 x18, In 1920, Dr Ernst Leitz II took over his father’s position as head of the Leitz (later Leica) optics factory. The young Leitz was not only a passionate entrepreneur, he was also a passionate field sportsman. His enthusiasm, his love of nature and his unwavering dedication to quality still shape our products today. We don’t design mere technical gadgets; we develop products of the very highest optical quality that answer the needs of sportsmen. The following pages are a journey of discovery. Here, you will get to know our new Magnus series of riflescopes and learn more about our ER riflescopes. Brilliant optics combined with precision engineering guarantee a successful outcome every time, over distance and under the harshest of conditions. Your Leica Sport Optics Team

The sun still hangs low ... ... over the early-morning horizon in Tanzania. Behind the lush rainforest, the radiant grasslands and the endless savannah, the majestic Kilimanjaro rises regally into the heavens. There could hardly be a more perfect place to experience the magnificence of Africa’s natural beauty and its breathtaking animals. The prospect of watching herds of gnus, kudus and springboks, followed by the big five, instantly makes the heart beat faster.

ABOUT US

This region also offers some of the most fascinating opportunities. Nowhere else on the planet has such a broad array of free-ranging wild game. For an experienced sportsman, the mere mention of its famous reserves and national parks - such as the Selous Game Reserve – is enough to set the pulse racing. At 54,000 km², it is the biggest game reserve in the world and boasts the greatest number of Cape buffalo. Stalking these mighty beasts is not only thrilling; it demands courage, stamina and skill. Leica Sport Optics has developed its range of riflescopes precisely for situations such as these: for those moments when absolute reliability is key. Uncompromising in their precision and technically sophisticated – maximising your chance of success.

RIFLESCOPES

Only a heartbeat away ... ... behind the thicket of branches, rests a herd of enormous, dark-brown Cape buffalo. Considered generally peaceful and good-natured, they are also extremely tough and conďŹ dent. Above all, they have an uncanny ability to sense when danger lurks. You are acutely focused. You now have to silently and carefully move as close as possible to your chosen buffalo, get it in your sights and, at the right moment, take an accurate shot. The buffalo is a high point for any devotee of African hunting. Not only is the trophy of a remarkable strength and size, it’s an unforgettable experience filled with excitement. And because every quarry and every sportsman is unique, we have developed two different series of riflescopes. The new Magnus series of premium riflescopes comprises three illuminated models that perform brilliantly even under the most challenging light conditions. And the dependable ER series features the longest eye relief in its class.
