Our region, and quite frankly all of North Carolina, has never experienced anything quite like last year for luxury real estate sales. It surpassed even the boom years of 2005 and 2006 in many respects, but with a much stronger foundation.
There isn’t one single factor that we can attribute to this, but we can point to COVID-19 as the catalyst. Once that match was lit, a combination of conditions including supply, the way in which people changed how they work, the availability of money, low interest rates, and the amazing value and draw of our region all played equally important roles in our clients’ successes.
