SOMMERSHIELD GARDENS Sommerschield Gardens is a prestigious real estate development, located in the most recognised and sought after area in Maputo. Its proximity to the Portuguese, American and French Schools - the main education forums in Maputo, promotes the ease of everyday family life. Since 2011, we have delivered the Maputo Private Hospital, an encompassing institution fast becoming a reference hospital in the city. The idea behind the hospital has always been to improve standards & capacity in the capital. Equipped with 120 beds, 4 theatres, state of the art facilities & dedicated staff, the Maputo Private Hospital has delivered on its promise to provide the highest level of care in Africa. Our hospital presence continues to grow, with work on a private facility in Northern Mozambique underway in addition to smaller satellite clinics in fast growing cities of Nacala & Pemba.

Projects of this nature tend to go through a set process handled by the relevant individual and groups within the organisation. AGRICULTURE & AGRI-BUSINESS Having acquired substantial parcels of land with the express intent of farming and adding value to the crops grown, our team is rapidly growing to deal with the challenges associated with large scale industry and farming. HEALTHCARE Together with our strong strategic partners, we have a small team tasked with building our healthcare portfolio via the Mozambique Healthcare entity..

LIGHT INDUSTRY With a heritage of involvement in industry and specifically the light industry sector, we coordinate closely with operations management to meet high expectations from our investments in manufacturing. LUXURY TOURISM & RECREATION A newer sector which we have recently developed for, the growth in middle income individuals gives rise to the need for a showpiece gold coarse development which we are embarking on. The skills for these ventures are slowly being added to our existing repertoire.
Chairman & Co- Founder Mr Nurmamade Abdala Hassamo is the Mozambican shareholder of Invalco and has a prominent portfolio of government contacts since he has worked for the Government in various fields.
Executive Director & Co- Founder Mr Karim Premji is a very successful entrepreneur and brings along extensive experience in both developed and developing worlds. He sits on the board of several companies where his visions have led them to achieve strong performances and are now in the forefront in its respective sectors. Mr. Premji holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, MBA from Brunel University in the UK and is currently pursuing his Doctoral Degree from the Robert Kennedy College in Switzerland.

Executive Director & Co- Founder Mr. Saleem Mohamed holds a degree in economics and has specialized in sovereign debt negotiations and arbitrage in Europe and Africa.He has an extensive knowledge of Africa and has created joint ventures with many high profile corporations to work in several of his projects.

Construction Project Coordinator Mr Daniel Johannes Struyweg is a Construction Project Coordinator and has an extensive background in his field. Mr. Struyweg is a qualified chartered accountant.
Legal Advisor Mr Nizar Merali has over a decade of experience. He gained his Law Degree from the International University of Lisboa. Mr. Merali is a practising lawyer and legal adviser in Lisboa, Portugal and Maputo, Mozambique. 14
Special Projects Consultant Mr Shafik Adams is our lead consultant for special projects. With over 30 years experience in operations and management in the light industry sector, Mr Adams brings his knowledge drawn from the manufacturing field to assist with technically challenging projects.
Accountant Mr Vinay Dookee holds a Diploma in Accounting and Finance and is currently an ACCA finalist. He has been working as an accountant and auditor over the last 7 years in Mauritius, UK & Ireland and Mozambique in various industries

LENMED HEALTH Lenmed Health’s roots reach back to 1984, when the first clinic in the group was founded in Lenasia. Today, Lenmed Health is growing to include a number of hospitals and allied health service providers in South Africa and southern Africa.
JOMOFI CONSTRUÇÕES A leading construction company based in Mozambique, building large and complex projects. It is a Mozambican and Portuguese group which has won constructions awards in three years consecutive years. GRANT THORNTON INTERNATIONAL Grant Thornton Mozambique is the local member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd. Together we have worked on numerous projects.
UNDER THE INVALCO BRAND CANADIAN MONTESSORI ACADEMY Canadian Montessori Academy has been open for 9 years now. It has been a very successful school since the beginning and has been growing steadily. We have reached our record number of enrolment and are expanding all the time. INTERNET SOLUTIONS The group founded INTRA, Lda, a leading Mozambican connectivity company. Internet Solutions (IS) acquired a share holding in INTRA Lda, and will now be offering Mozambique a
broad spectrum of market leading internet based services and solutions; will now be known as IS Mozambique XIMATI - TOMATO PROCESSING PLANT Ximati developed an area of 2,000 ha of plantation along the banks of the Maputo River to produce fresh tomatoes for a world scale tomato processing plant, for tomato paste. The project aims to cover most of the value chain, from nursery to farm to a factory unit.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE, THE PRIDE OF OUR EFFORTS SOMMERSCHIELD ESTATES - PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT Luxurious, private condominium with 45 houses of around 350m2 each. This was the first project of this type to be developed in Mozambique and set a benchmark in this sector. It has produced high yield returns for its investors. GOLDEN SANDS - PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT Golden Sand, situated in Costa do Sol, is made up of 60 units in a enclosed private complex. It is a definite sound investment with potential to produce a high rental yield and capital appreciation.

TIMES SQUARE - PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT Developed in 2003, Time Square is located in the centre of Maputo, and offers modern offices to its clients, a perfect place for business. Tenants, among others, are Vodacom, KFC, FDC, EHC, Greek Embassy, CafĂŠ Nautilos. This project was a huge success as Times Square was sold to Emose, FDC and ENH. MAPUTO PRIVATE HOSPITAL - HEALTHCARE The Maputo Private Hospital (MPH) is part of Lenmed Health. The development of Maputo Private Hospital is the first large scale private hospital in the country equipped with 120 beds, state of the art medical equipment and specialised services.
