久放室內的盆栽，常會露出疲態，甚至顯得奄奄一息，而為了

Botanical Clinic

Art Plate

Plants that stay indoors for a long time often run out of vital energy. To help these plants regain vitality, we set up the Botanical Clinic. This is the best place to teach life education because students enjoy visiting their beloved plants that are being cared for here.

There was a bulletin board on the side of the art gallery, which was to display teachers and students’ artwork. Day after day, it became torn up. Our art class made use of discarded pottery as raw materials to redesign and recreate a strong, artistic, pottery display in front of us.

◎榕園藝廊

過去，每當雨天要到辦公室，走在榕樹下，總會被淋得

位於民權樓二樓的女兒牆，原本一片雪白而略顯單調，

濕答答，現在，一座美輪美奐的多功能通廊兼藝廊誕生了，我

於是我們特別規劃讓美術班的同學在此大展身手、發揮創意

們不再淋雨，還可在此展示師生的畫作，尤其夜晚廊燈一亮更

，結果，透過大家的構思、分組與彩繪，僅利用三個半天的

Banyan Tree Gallery

Colorful Parapet

In the past, we always got wet when walking through the banyan trees to the office. Now, a beautiful multi-function corridor and gallery displays teachers’ and students’ artwork, and it prevents us from getting wet. Everyone enjoys strolling along the gallery, especially when the night lights light up in the evening. We named the corridor Banyan Tree Gallery because it is located under rows of banyan trees.

The wall on the 2nd floor of the Ming-Quan Building was pale and monotonous. Hence, we asked the Art Class students to express their creativity by designing and painting the wall. In less than three half days, eight color paintings were completed. The paintings are named Starlight Train, Joyful Childhood, Future World, Star Wars, and so on. Everyone can see, and be amazed by, the talent of these little artists.

大家都堅信：「人老要有活力與氣質，學校老要有內涵與文化」，於是在經營110多年歷史的桃園國小，我們便常要運用創意 為其注入活力；如今，經過三年多的努力，在校園環境與教學設施的改造方面，校園裡已展現煥然一新的景象，甚至有些景點還蘊 涵著一則則感人的故事。今特將它編印成「桃小校園十大新景點」依序做導覽，好讓大家更認識我們可愛的學校。

As a principal ,I’ve been making efforts for more than three years to improve the teaching facilities and environment, now the campus has a brand new outlook.

校門右側掛了四面顯眼的證照，它分別是本校通過桃

圓拱的造形、明亮的燈光和E化的設施，在進入校門後，

通過校門川堂的星光隧道後，即可看到左右兩側有「光耀門楣

在中山花園的正中央，有一座蘇明盛前會長所捐贈的噴水池，

Rewarding Reading Feature Certification Section

Starlight Arcade

There are four eye-catching certificates on the right side of our school gate that have been granted to our school by the Taoyuan County Education Department. These certificates are for Arts and Humanities, Excellent PTA, Excellent Kindergarten, and Health Promoting School. These unique and significant awards represent the long-term effort of our teachers, students, and parents. These awards are a good selling point, so this school district attracts many guests and visitors.

With well-illuminated lighting and electronic facilities, this novel arcade-shaped section immediately attracts people’s attention.

This is where we post our awards and important messages. We named it - Starlight Arcade. We will also post photos about individual achievement or other excellent activities taking place at our school.

Hall of Fame After you pass through the Starlight Arcade, you will see the Hall of Fame on both sides. The Hall of Fame displays our four greatest honors: Art Class, Children’s Dance, Children’s Band and the Boy’s Basketball Team. Our basketball team won, The Elementary School World Cup Championship in Finland, and the Children’s Band has been the national champions for the past 20 years.

Honor Gate

In a corner of Zhong Shan Garden stands a marble book-shaped sculpture named - Rewarding Reading. This sculpture was donated by Honorable Director Chao-Fu Lu on our 110th school anniversary. This sculpture will encourage us to read, and we can learn from Director Lu’s filial piety. With quotes from Xiao Jing in Chinese on the left page and English on the right, this sculpture reminds us that reading will be rewarded and to learn English well.

In the center of Zhong Shan Garden, there is a fountain that was donated by the former PTA Director, Mr. Ming-Cheng Su. The dazzling carp swim freely in the pool and attract people’s admiration. In front of the fountain are two bougainvilleas that make a natural gate, so we named it - Dragon Gate. Whenever our teachers or students perform excellently, they will receive enthusiastic cheering with their awards when they pass through this honorable gate.

Top Ten New Scenic Spots in Taoyuan Elementary School

Centurial Voyages Near the Rewarding Reading Sculpture stands a stone-made sailboat that was donated by the PTA Director, Mr. Zhi-Ming Kao, on our 110th school anniversary. Principal Lin admires Mr. Kao’s willpower along with his youth, enthusiasm, and vitality. He has led our school to a new milestone. We named this stone sailboat sculpture - Success.
