by Ioana Rosca

The temple has a diameter of 70 meters

27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides
The temple's shape has symbolic and interreligious significance

The temple is surrounded by water that is placed is a flower shaped exterior so that it correlates with the structure itself
The lotus is often associated with purity, sacredness, spirituality, and knowledge

The photos of theses sides were taken from a different point of view therefore the pieces of orange look a bit more different than the other two pictures

The outline for both of the pictures looked quite similar

Adding more detail to the sketch helped to discover the potential parts that could be added in the structure

I tried to make them a bit different by experimenting with adding extra lines and making them look more three dimensional
I added colour to have a different perspective of the sketches

This side had a lot more pieces that were longer and it contained more rectangular shapes

I think that this sketch looks the most intriguing for the structure that I will be designing

This is a picture from the other side of the arrangement
This is the last side that I took a picture of

I made the curved outline more straight to make it more easier to make it into a building

This side of the structure is very interesting as the parts overlap each other and create this puzzling look

Using the peels of an orange, I dropped them on a table and it created this placement where I was able to draw the outline and come up with a new structure

I took a new picture of one of the side so I could get a better understanding of how the new structure could look like
