Laser cutting

I laser cut the hexagons out of MDF and the exterior walls out of acrylic to be able to look through it

I used the glue gun to stick them together and then placed them in ascending order going in a curved manner

I chose laser cutting since it can cut complex shapes with precise detail

The interior is divided into several components

I hand cut shapes, mostly triangles, out of card and used the method of overlapping to create the area around the model

I also added some small people and trees to help with the scale

The rectangles near the model are for the airplanes to be placed there and then move off to the runways which are positioned right behind I tried to keep and add as much greenery as I could so that it would make the area look more sustainable and clean

The laser cutting made the final model come out very well but it was a bit messy because of the glue

To make it better I started by cutting out brown card of the shape of the model and glued it on top of the MDF
