Many of our pieces are eco-friendly. A vast assortment of our furniture is created from uniquely repurposed, reclaimed wood. Our custom sofas and chairs contain upholstery-padding materials that are comprised of 100% recycled polyester fibers. All metal components of the springs and frames consist of at least 95% recycled steel or aluminum. Sustainable Forest Initiative certified companies supply the wood-frame materials, and 100% of any lumber waste is recycled. Look for the “Eco Metro� icon on products throughout our stores.

I.O. METRO HISTORY After purchasing his first home, Jay Howard was frustrated by the lack of furniture options in booming Northwest Arkansas. Instead of going elsewhere to shop, he conceived the idea of an ever-changing, instant-gratification store that featured modern furnishings at affordable prices. In 2005, at just 23 years old, Jay founded I.O. Metro with partners Christine Howard and Bill and Helen Benton. The rest is history.
