On behalf of the National Board and myself as the 24th National President of the “Purpose Driven” Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., welcome to the 2024-2025 New Sorority Year! Sorors, Pelati, Future Iota Leaders – FIL, and Men of Iota- MOI, I would like to extend you greetings andaveryspecialbeginningtoanewSororityYear.
We are blessed and fortunate as an organization to have an abundance of professional business women driven with ingenuity to propel us into the 96th year of intentional distinction, within Iota Phi Lambda Sorority. It has been a fast and furious one year for this administration.
During the first year of the new administration, four new chapters were chartered. The chaptersareZetaPhiChapterintheSouthwesternRegion,charteredinAugust2023,located in Tomball, Texas; Zeta Chi Chapter in the Eastern Region, chartered in December 2023, located in New Kent, Virginia; Zeta Psi Chapter in the Eastern Region, chartered in January 2024, located in Reisterstown, Maryland; and Eta Alpha Chapter in the Central Region, chartered in June 2024, located in Fairview Heights, Illinois. In April 2024, Epsilon Epsilon Chapter was re-activated in the Southwestern Region, located in Prairie View, Texas. The Sorority currently has 70 financial and active chapters to date. There continues to be expansionandgrowthwithinIotaPhiLambdaSorority,Inc.,aschaptersbringinexceptional professionalindividualsacrossallregions.TheGoodHealthWinsGrant(GHWS)continuesto beavitalgrantprogramfortheorganization.
ThegreetingsIpennedalmostayearagocomeatatimeofchangeinourcountrywiththe impending2024PresidentialElection.Thereisashiftinthenormsofpoliticalrespect,dignity, truth-telling, and care for laws that once gave us a sense of protection and security as a nation, and more so as a community. Iota Phi Lambda stands in support of a positive outcome for this election. We certainly say, vote your conscience, respect others’ rights to choosewhomtheysupport,andbediligentinyoureffortstounderstandthevotingprocess andtheissuesatstake.
As we look forward with great enthusiasm and intentional purpose in our work, demonstrating unbridled commitment to advancing our Programs and Projects, engaging with the business community in partnerships and collaborations, and advocating for and supporting business opportunities and educational initiatives for women and youth, we will approachthis96thYearwithourmostBrilliantandBrightingenuity-drivenwork!

Re: LMPF Update
It is an honor to provide this update of the Lola Mercedes Parker Foundation for Economic Empowerment of Business and Professional Women (LMPF) activities.
To say that LMPF has had a busy summer is an understatement! The 2024 Year of the Woman Influencer Campaign began July 8th and concluded August 16th. We started with eleven and settled on nine amazing women participating in the campaign. The mentors are phenomenal and the engagement on social media has been very exciting to see. The 2024 Year of the Woman Influencer will be announced at the 2024 I3 Symposium and Gala in Dallas, Texas on October 19th.
Speaking of which, registration for the 2024, I3 Symposium: Inform, Inspire, Ignite, is now open! Our theme is: Strategies to Strengthen the Black Community. It will take place from October 17 to 20, 2024, in vibrant Dallas, Texas at the Westin DFW Airport Hotel and the Microsoft Innovation Center in Irving, Texas! This four-day event is dedicated to inspiring, innovating, and igniting the future of economic empowerment within the Black community. Also plan to partake in our prestigious Gala night with an exceptional performance by the renowned artist Johnny Britt. Johnny Britt is a celebrated musician who has worked with legends like The Temptations and has performed in Oscar-nominated films such as "La La Land" and "Hidden Figures." We are preparing to launch the 2024 Empowering the Black Community grant application cycle this Fall This initiative, started in 2023, aims to address the condition of the Black Community through four critical pillars (Education, Career, Health and Financial) by providing grants to chapters in Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Incorporated and like-minded community non-profits to develop relevant ongoing programming that addresses these crucial areas. Stay tuned for future announcements. Lastly, we are looking forward to our 10-year anniversary in 2025 with great celebratory anticipation.
