” Eco-surfaces for food: the way we must cook”. October 15th 2015
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS Food is today in the public eye. Food is a necessity and a pleasure. The vitamins, the carbohydrates, the amino acids, the salts, the minerals are the necessity, the taste is the pleasure. Nature provides materials for the satisfaction of both and both have to be well-preserved while cooking. The scientific research and the technology based on that are essential to prepare food. Many kinds of surfaces, the most important part of pots, pans and kitchen involved in the cooking, due to the contact with the food, have to be considered: metals, inorganic or organic coatings. Specifically in the sector of the surface treatment we have the instruments to investigate the surface, to change it for a better response to preserve the food components, chemically, biologically and for our safety. The Italian industry has a leader position thanks to the design of the tools for cooking. The engineers in the chemical and materials sector, the scientists of natural sciences, the architects, have to apply their scientific knowledge for materials, plants and design, to answer to the issues of the society. The symposium aims to discuss the materials and plants for cooking with the best and suitable shape. Materials, plants for their beautiful applying. Researcher centres and industrial producers are kindly invited to present short papers on their research works, ideas and projects. The main topics are: • Materials • Design • Appearance • Plants • Packaging A Poliefun committee will review the abstracts. Abstracts, in English or in Italian language and word format should be of 10 minimum 20 maximum lines and have to indicate: • title • author(s) • affiliation • work objectives th
Abstract submission: July, 15 th Notification of acceptance: September 13 Poster session: Researcher centres and industrial producers are invited to present their research works in a poster (80b x 120h cm.). The poster session will be open during the whole time seminar.
