A NOTE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ‘Grace to you and peace from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.’ HONORING THE LIFE AND MINISTRY LEGACY OF CHARLES PATRIC “PAT” CRAIG The Rev. Charles Patric “Pat” Craig transitioned from his temporary earthly home to his heavenly reward on January 11, 2022. He was a great man of God who I was privileged to call a dear friend and treasured mentor. I read a quote some time ago that stated, “Everyone leaves a footprint in his or her lifetime that affects generations long after we leave this world.” Brother Charles’ legacy as a pastor and lover of missions Bishop Talmadge Gardner and missionaries is legendary in the IPHC. I was privileged to serve with Brother Charles on the General World Missions Ministries Council from 2012 – 2017. His passion for the lost and his understanding of the Great Commission kept him emboldened to do everything within his power to keep us focused on our mission ‘to go and make disciples.’ As chairman, I always knew exactly where he stood and what he was passionate about. I will always appreciate his love for missionaries and for the way he modeled honoring them. While serving as the pastor of Sand Springs First PHC, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, it became the number one church in overall giving to World Missions Ministries. His personal investment in missions, though, extended far beyond his personal and corporate financial contributions. On behalf of the World Missions family, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his precious wife, Mrs. Doris, and his extended family. Brother Charles was a giant of a man and friend who we loved dearly. The obituary that Brother Charles’ family prepared in tribute can be found on the following page:

A NOTE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, Charles Patric “Pat” Craig, loving husband, brother, and uncle, passed from this life to his eternal reward at the age of 82. He was born December 4, 1939, in Yellville, Arkansas, to Joe and Ruth (Turner) Craig. In 1957, Charles graduated from Yellville Summit High School, where he met his future wife, Doris Wynn. They were married on August 15, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After moving to Tulsa, Charles worked for nine years as a meat cutter for Safeway. In March of 1963, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served as a military police officer and a mail clerk in Germany. He was honorably discharged in March 1965. In 1968, Charles went into full-time ministry and pastored five churches over 42 ½ years. He pastored at Bethel, Sulphur, Vern, Bixby, and Sand Springs. As pastor of Bethel, he oversaw the building of a new parsonage; at Vern, the remodeling of the church; and at Sand Springs, he oversaw the addition of the fellowship hall. Charles also served as an evangelist for the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. He served on the Youth Board and was on the Conference Board as assistant superintendent. He was the missions director of the local conference and on the board of the World Missions Department, where he oversaw some of the mission work in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Mexico. While pastoring Sand Springs First Pentecostal Holiness Church, it was the number one mission-giving church. He retired from pastoring in January of 2010. At the time of his death, he attended Landmark Church of Sand Springs. During his lifetime, he enjoyed traveling, fishing, and camping. Charles especially enjoyed vacationing in Colorado and on the White River in Arkansas. Charles was known as the “rock of the family.” He was kind, compassionate, and self-sacrificing. He enjoyed the fellowship of friends and family. He was proud of his family. Charles also treasured spending time with all the Wynn family, nieces and nephews, and their families. Page 4

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruth (Turner) Craig. He is survived by his wife, Doris of the home; as well as one brother, Robert and wife Renate Craig of Yakima, Washington; one niece, Rene and husband Dan; and great-nephews, Riley and Adan, all of Pendleton, Oregon, as well as many of his wife’s nieces and nephews. “The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21 [ESV]). COVID-19 INTERNATIONAL RELIEF FUND UPDATE Since the start of the pandemic, WMM’s COVID-19 International Relief Fund has dispersed $921,914.93 to 69 countries. The need, due to the lingering effects of the Delta and now Omicron variants, is still ongoing! Its lingering effects on the working class/daily wage earners, as well as the economies of many third world countries has been devastatingly crippling. I cannot begin to tell you how impactful this financial support has been and continues to be. Let me reiterate our pledge to you that 100% of every contribution is being disbursed to the field to assist with the many requests. To contribute to this fund or learn more about the relief efforts that these funds are assisting, visit https://iphc.org/missions/covid-19-international-relief-fund-report/. Good is coming from this pandemic. ‘God wants to do something THROUGH it.’ He has good purposes in ALL things. “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). THE LINK PRAYER GUIDE

Since its inception in the early 1980s, The Link has served as a daily prayer guide to familiarize our IPHC family with our missionaries and global ministry footprint. Today, this publication serves as the most recognizable print brand in the IPHC and has helped launch a global movement that is a powerful intercessory prayer force.

The Link is available in print form and may be ordered and shipped free of charge by either your Conference Missions Director or our office directly by calling or by visiting https://iphc.org/missions/promo/. Page 5

A NOTE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The Link’s daily prayer directive is also available online at https://iphc.org/missions/. 2021 GIVING REPORTS BY CONFERENCE FOR THE GLOBAL OUTREACH OFFERING; PEOPLE TO PEOPLE; MINISTRY PROJECTS; MISSIONARY SUPPORT; AND OVERALL GIVING BY CHURCHES: • The North Carolina Conference and Missions Director Doug Bartlett led the way in overall giving to World Missions Ministries in 2021, with a total of $1,381,185.91. They were also the leading conference in Missionary Support with $617,909.55. Not sure what we would do without this conference. Their faithfulness, partnership, and generosity through the years are legendary, and this conference has served as an inspiration and role model for the IPHC in the USA. 2021 was no exception! • Fountain of Life Ministries, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, was the leading partnering church in overall giving to World Missions in 2021, with $213,517.75. Thank you, Pastor Hans Hess for your passion and generosity. • The South Carolina Conference was the top partnering U.S. conference to our annual Global Outreach Offering emphasis with $479,124.36. In fact, 2021 was the largest GO offering that South Carolina or any other conference has ever received. Congratulations, Dean Morgan. Keep envisioning and dreaming. The Lord is going to give you the “desires of your heart!” I would be remiss if I did not recognize and congratulate the Appalachian Conference and Missions Director Larry Meadors; Pacific Western Network Ministries and Missions Director Pastor Benjamin Waldrum; and River of Life Ministries and Missions Director Pastor Kent Bell for establishing new record offerings for their respective conferences. These are significant breakthroughs! Thank you for your faithfulness to our collective vision and mission. • The Cornerstone Conference [my home conference] was the top partnering U.S. conference in People to People [$170,585.91], and Field Ministry Projects [$336,770.07]. Thank you, Pastor Keith Gilliam, for your personal passion for missions and the partnership of Cornerstone Conference! You are making a significant difference in the lives of people globally – especially children! • The support of our non-IPHC partners continues to be invaluable and demonstrates the reach that our influence has [$2,630,393.63]. Page 6

You can tell by the reports above that 2021 was a record-breaking year in many categories of giving for WMM. I am pleased to tell you that WMM receipted $10,085,728.44 in 2021. This is the first time in our history as a missions ministry that we have exceeded ten million dollars in overall giving. None of this would be possible without you. We are humbled by your trust and generosity – you have always demonstrated your passion and commitment to being a Great Commission movement – none more so than in 2021. In spite of this significant achievement, I believe that it is just the beginning of things to come! I am still holding on to the promise that the Holy Spirit directed me to in 2017/2018. “Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told” (Habakkuk 1:5 [NIV]). Listed below you will find a report reflecting Overall Giving to WMM Over the Past 15 Years, as well as WMM’s Four Column Giving Report by Conference for the year 2021.

A NOTE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR You will also find WMM’s listing of Overall Giving by Churches for the year 2021 at https://iphc.org/missions/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2022/02/Top-ALL-OverallGiving-2021-GTL-by-Church.xlsx_.pdf. 2022 GREAT COMMISSION MEALS [GCM]: World Missions Ministries and Rev. Max Barroso hosted our first Great Commission Meal of 2022 on January 10 in the Heartland Conference. GCMs are a great way to learn more about our global IPHC family, our ministry presence globally, and the many doors of opportunity that are opening to us, in addition to hearing firsthand reports from our beloved missionaries. Go to https://iphc.org/missions/great-commission-meals/ for more information about finding a meal near you. You will be welcomed as our honored guest. HONORING THE LIFE AND MISSIONARY LEGACY OF ROBERT “BOB” P. BROWN APRIL 30, 1940 - JANUARY 17, 2022 Rev. Robert Parham Brown (81) of Stuart, FL, went to his heavenly home on January 17, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. “Bobby” modeled the heart of Christ and was a known and effective prayer warrior. He served as a missionary to the Virgin Islands and Africa for 20 years. He was born in Griffin, Georgia, to his late parents, Benjamin and Gladys Brown. Bob graduated from Southeastern Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He was survived and will be missed by his beloved wife of 8 years, S. Rebecca “Becky” Crocker Brown; his siblings: Benjamin Brown III, Leslie (D. Charles) Brown Corbett, Abigail Brown Eldridge, Lewis Brown, Frank Brown; his daughter, Ruthie Lynn (Frank) Ceja; his step children: Curtis (Wanda) Crocker, Jeffrey (Joyce) Crocker, Matthew (Laura) Crocker, James (Sandee Jo) Crocker, and Wesley (Patricia) Crocker; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Rev. Brown is preceded in death by his parents and former wife, Dixie Ellen Brown. Bob and Dixie were married on June 25, 1977. Page 10

They began married life in a one-room apartment in the slums of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, where they served for five years as missionaries. In 1989, they began their missions work in Kenya and soon joined the IPHC in 1992 to serve as Directors of IPHC East Africa Bible Training Center in Eldoret. Following their service in Tanzania, they retired as IPHC missionaries in November 2005, after 13 years of service. “He left this earth as quietly as he led his life. His final resting place will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.” On behalf of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church and, in particular, its missionary family, I extend our most heartfelt condolences to Rev. Brown’s wife, S. Rebecca Crocker Brown, his family, and friends. May the Lord of peace Himself give you, his family, peace at all times and in every way. IN CONCLUSION 2021 was a memorable year in many respects for our family personally, as well as for World Missions Ministries corporately. We are grateful for God’s everlasting love, care, and protection of our missionary family globally. I am confident that the best is still to come. Our trajectory is rising in unprecedented ways. Stephanie and I remain humbled by the commitment and outstanding service of the team members serving in World Missions Ministries. They are great gifts to our church/IPHC. World Missions has been challenged to establish a ministry presence in 150 nations and birth 5,000 new churches outside of the USA as we move forward with Arise 2033. I am praying that Pentecostal Holiness Churches around the world will: • be awakened by our vision and call to prayer • be awakened to the urgency and need to reach the lost • be awakened to their responsibility to disciple new believers • be awakened and understand the importance and priority of planting new churches • be awakened and understand that we have been commanded to ‘Go and Make Disciples of all nations,’ and that as believers of Christ Jesus, we are obligated to reach the unreached and unengaged Page 11

A NOTE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR • begin to understand that, with immigration demographics being what they are today, this is a “Kairos” or opportune moment in time to position our existing 101 nations to become SENDING as opposed to RECEIVING nations Jesus’ return is imminent - it is about to happen! We must target the lost! We must establish soul-winning and discipleship as a priority! Jesus is coming back soon. The signs are all around us. I am asking and challenging you today; let’s commit ourselves to the work and ministry that God has called us to – to ARISE 2033. I remain indebted to you for your “Partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:5-6 [ESV]). Please know that I remain honored to serve you and with you ‘for such a time as this’! Continued blessings in the great work, which the Lord has required of you! URGENT REQUEST UKRAINE

We are doing the best we can from our personal ministry account, as well as sending relief items directly to impacted leaders and families on multiple islands. If you would like to assist us in needed relief, please go to give.iphc.org/argo-al.

As of January 2022, they sit on the brink of war, with a Russian invasion imminent. We need your help now BEFORE they are invaded to get funds into the four districts across the country so they can buy food, gas, and supplies. Will you help NOW? To give, please visit https://give.iphc.org/ project/ukraine-emergency-relief.

Recently, the Philippines were hit hard by a super typhoon (stronger than a category 5 hurricane). Many places are still without power, and several of our church members lost their entire homes. Due to Covid, the government is saying there is no money for help or assistance. As you can imagine, it is a dire situation and the church should respond.

Ukraine has a strong IPHC presence in Eastern Europe, and our presence is growing each year. This is an amazing conference and we are strong in all areas of community leadership here. The Ukraine conference is heavily involved in humanitarian outreach with Drug Rehab Centers and a good homeless feeding program.

UPDATES THE WORLD’S HIGHEST CITY IN SOUTHERN PERU

February will take us back to the highest city in the world for the fifth time in five months. Each time I take a group of Peruvian missionaries in training to share the gospel and take steps towards planting a church in this dirty, polluted, unchurched, unevangelized mining city. Many folks have heard the Word. Pray for the seeds that were planted and for those who have repented and believed to bear much fruit! We also made contact with a couple of believers who are trying to reopen their churches as one after a couple of years. We will be working with them to see a healthy church planted! Pray for Christ’s church to be established amidst the craggy glaciers of southern Peru! By Ben West

GROWTH IN NEPAL

We have grown to over 600 churches, representing over 30,000 members in IPHC Nepal. We are now a legal church, thanks to the great efforts of Ashok Lama, our new chairman of the IPHC Nepal Board of Directors. He has a five-member National Board and over 70 leaders appointed throughout Nepal provinces. Covid relief funds have been distributed throughout the nation, and water wells have been installed in several places. Under the leadership of Chase Granstaff, at least three Schools of Ministry have been actively established.

WHERE STRANGERS BECOME FAMILY

COFFEE HOUSE MINISTRIES Sometimes, the hope of the gospel shows up in ways we might have never expected. Through Coffee House Ministries a trip to a local coffee shop can, for some, mean an opportunity to hear the name of Jesus, maybe even for the first time. Coffee House Ministries is actively creating spaces around the world where a cup of coffee is the gateway to a conversation that could change someone’s eternity. At our Coffee Houses, strangers become family, the hopeless find hope, and the lost are found. See the link below to find more about our Coffee Houses planted in various cities around the world, and how you can be a part of bridging the gap between the church and a community of non-believers. https://iphc.org/missions/coffee/

STORY FROM THE FIELD ALICIA’S STORY BEGINS BY DAVID HODGES

During the month of August, we took a short rest with a missionary family and went to some ruins in an obscure native area of Cusco in the highlands of the Andes. While there, I felt that God had something for us to do. We found a temple of the Incas that was erected to the god, Wiracocha. This is the unknowable god who created the sun the moon and the first two Incas. In this temple, there were sacrifices done in front of seven windows. Their legend says, “Wiracocha sent a messenger in form of a condor.” This messenger said, “Wiracocha would send his son to tell them about himself.” My heart longed to tell the people of this area that I knew the rest of the story… We left the area and went to Puerto Maldonado where we would spend seven days teaching and empowering pastors and youth to thrust forth into the harvest fields of the Lord. God moved in such amazing ways and, upon or return to this city, in October, we saw God move uniting denominations under one banner, Jesus, and baptizing them in the fire of Holy Spirit, but that is another story. My heart continued to burn for the people around the “RUINAS DE PUMA MARCA.” I asked my family to return with me to this 12-family pueblo for four days. I said, “let’s see what God wants to do.” God opened the door to share the gospel through the lens of their superstitions and their gods. I felt that I was living the story of Paul as he shared in the temple before the pillar to the unknown god. Alicia and her son received Christ with joy there at the foot of the ruins as I shared how God “wiracocha” sent His son to pay the blood ransom of Abel and how His blood speaks a better Word. I spoke about how the authority of the curse of “PachaTierra” has been broken and the earth has no hold on the adopted sons of God, and that no payment is necessary because Jesus paid our debt. Today, we are taken back by the authority of Christ in ancestral forgotten lands where the spirits and authorities have never been challenged. As I write this, we have two of our students from The Awakening who have gone to stay with Alicia for a few weeks to baptize and disciple her. Pray with us as we advance the Kingdom of God and take authority in areas never before challenged.

MONTHLY PRAYER EMPHASIS

Dear Lord, You are holy and wonderful; the provider of all things that are good. Without you, we can do nothing. We pray that you forgive us in our shortcomings, and ask that your mercy and grace cover us always. Thank you for your steadfast love and faithfulness throughout the pandemic of COVID-19. While our anxieties wanted to raise, you offered us your peace which goes beyond human understanding. Your provision has proven to be miraculous, and we thank you for your increased faithfulness to your children across the world. Right now, we ask that you would continue to restore the lives of your people. Bring rest, peace, and provision of practical resources so that your children may live in a way that enables them to testify of your goodness and faithfulness throughout the most difficult times in their lives. Lord, we pray that through the continuation of the consequences of COVID-19, you would make yourself evident to the ends of the earth, and that you would open doors for your name to be shared throughout the world to the unreached.
