Make a Winter Wish

The last thing you need during an already stressful year is for your central heating to pack up on the run up to Christmas!

If there are air pockets in your radiator then hot water won’t be able to fill the entire heater and eventually your central heating won't get to the correct temperature, even with it turned right up. Not only that, but the movement of air through your system can make a lot of annoying noise.

Bleeding your radiator will ensure that your heating is working effectively and consistently. However, its less important why you should bleed your radiators, and much more important how you begin.

Obviously, you could call a plumber, but we’ve got a great video that gives you a guide on how to bleed them yourselves. Save the pennies where you can, especially at Christmas time!

Ideally radiators should be bled at least once each year, and the best time to do this task is at the beginning of the winter season. One last quick tip from us is that you should begin on the ground floor, furthest away from your boiler, before moving upstairs, and make sure you have turned off your central heating system switched off before you start this process.
