Dignity and Respect at Work Presenter: Rúairí Ó Céilleachair
This seminar addresses the concerns of school leaders preparing to address issues of dignity and respect in their workplaces. How many of them must summon the resolve and courage to deal with “behaviours of concern” among staff members and this will also be dealt with.
RÚAIRÍ Ó CÉILLEACHAIR Ruairí is the owner and Director of EDelia Group which engages primarily with educational organisations at primary, secondary and tertiary level. EDelia Group have been very successful in promoting coaching and mentoring programmes in schools and colleges throughout Ireland and is currently also delivering coaching and leadership programmes in the U.K., Germany, Israel, Indonesia and the U.E.A. EDelia Group is a Global Provider of EMCC accredited coach education programmes and is the largest provider of coach education training programmes to educators in Ireland. Ruairí spent 35 years teaching, as Gaeilge, at 2nd level. During this time, he has filled the roll of Class Teacher, Year Head, Department Head, Deputy Principal, Principal, Union Representative and NQT Mentor. He has been coaching for over 30 years and is an EMCC accredited Coach at Senior Practitioner Level, accredited Practitioner Level Team Coach with GTCI, accredited EQi 2.0 and EQi 360 practitioner, accredited Strengths Profiler Coach, accredited JESS Resilience Coach, accredited Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument Facilitator and accredited Gazing Red2Blue Performance Coach. Ruairí spent eight years developing, delivering and assessing the mentoring syllabus with the Irish National Induction Programme for Teachers, now known as ‘Droichead’ and was also on the steering committee of the Teaching Council of Ireland for three years. He designed and delivers the mentoring modules on the Masters in Teaching and Learning at Munster Technological University. He helped formulate the coaching strategy plan for the National Governing Body of Basketball Ireland as well as coaching the Senior Men’s National Team for 5 years.
