Call for Submissions: Pan American Regional Office Newsletter Edition No. 10 (2022-2023)
The Pan American Regional Office Newsletter (PARO NL) is an educational/scientific newsletter for the Pan American Regional Office (PARO) of the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) It is released yearly to aid pharmacy students in acquiring knowledge from across the region on topics surrounding pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences It also provides perspectives on relevant student issues and keeps students updated on the projects
We kindly invite students, recent graduates, and professionals to contribute to this year’s publication Please, consider contributing an article on one of the following topics:
1 Exchange and Internships Review: Write about your experiences during an internship or an exchange you have completed. Describe the internship or exchange and its effect on your personal and academic growth
2. New Educational Method: Provide an overview or commentary on an innovative educational strategy, trend, or new technology
3 Recent Graduates’ Perspective: Recent graduates may write about their current role/job, how they got into the position, what role PARO/IPSF played in their professional development, and any advice/tips they have for pharmacy students
4 Research Articles or Innovative Projects: Students are encouraged to submit their past or ongoing research. This should be an overview of your research such as an abstract or a modified article containing the introduction and discussion, may also include methods
5. Environment and sustainability: Report about projects or campaigns on environmental care and sustainability carried out by your member organization. You can present your experience, lessons learned, projections and conclusions you have in carrying out these activities Or relevant review research on the topic
6. Career Paths: Discuss the various career opportunities a pharmacist can undertake upon graduation and how a pharmacy student can be prepared for the path they have chosen, illustrating the tools that can help the student excel in their career
7. Disease prevention and health promotion: Discuss your organization's disease prevention and health promotion efforts and campaigns Describe how your organization has supported the performance of these tasks and the pursuit of these objectives.
8. PARS or World Congress experience: Describe about your experience in attending the Pan American Regional Symposium (PARS) or the IPSF World Congress from previous years (up to 5 years prior). Talk about your experiences, learning and the role that IPSF played in your personal and professional life by participating in these events
9. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Health: Students are encouraged to submit research, experiences or articles related to digital health and the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. This should be a summary-type overview or modified article that should report on how these technologies are impacting the world of healthcare and what projections it holds for the future
Requirements:
• Word Count: 300 - 1000;
• Format: Arial, 12 pt, double spaced;
• References: APA and/or Vancouver style with superscript in-text referencing;
• Images: Please include any relevant images with proper citation if necessary (1-3);
• Author limit: 1-5;
• Document format: PDF and Word;
• Languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and French;
•Certificates: will be sent to all participants after publication of the Newsletter;
•Deadline: 13 April, 2023 23:59 PM (GMT-3)

El Boletín de la Oficina Regional Panamericana (PARO NL) es un boletín educativo/científico de la Oficina Regional Panamericana (PARO) de la Federación Internacional de Estudiantes de Farmacia (IPSF). Se publica anualmente para ayudar a los estudiantes de farmacia a adquirir conocimientos de toda la región sobre temas relacionados con la farmacia y las ciencias farmacéuticas También ofrece perspectivas sobre temas relevantes para los estudiantes y los mantiene al día sobre los proyectos Invitamos a estudiantes, recién licenciados y profesionales a contribuir a la publicación de este año Por favor, consideren contribuir con un artículo sobre uno de los siguientes temas:
1. Reseña de intercambios y prácticas: Escriba sobre sus experiencias durante unas prácticas o un intercambio que haya realizado Describe las prácticas o el intercambio y su efecto en tu crecimiento personal y académico
2. Nuevo método educativo: Proporcione una visión general o un comentario sobre una estrategia educativa innovadora, una tendencia o una nueva tecnología
3. Perspectiva de los recién graduados: Los recién graduados pueden escribir sobre su función/trabajo actual, cómo llegaron al puesto, qué papel jugó PARO/IPSF en su desarrollo profesional y cualquier consejo/consejo que tengan para los estudiantes de farmacia
4. Artículos de investigación, proyectos innovadores: Se anima a los estudiantes a presentar sus investigaciones pasadas o en curso Esto debe ser una visión general de su investigación, como un resumen o un artículo modificado que contenga la introducción y discusión, también puede incluir métodos.
5. Medio ambiente y sustentabilidad: Informe sobre los proyectos o campañas sobre cuidado del medio ambiente y sostenibilidad llevados a cabo por su organización miembro Puede presentar su experiencia, lecciones aprendidas, proyecciones y conclusiones que tiene en la realización de estas actividades O reseñar investigaciones relevantes sobre el tema
6.Trayectoria profesional: Discuta las diversas oportunidades profesionales que un farmacéutico puede emprender al graduarse y cómo un estudiante de farmacia puede estar preparado para el camino que ha elegido, ilustrando las herramientas que pueden ayudar al estudiante a sobresalir en su carrera.
7. Prevención de enfermedades y promoción de la salud: Hable de los esfuerzos y campañas de prevención de enfermedades y promoción de la salud de su organización Describa cómo ha apoyado su organización la realización de estas tareas y la consecución de estos objetivos
8 Experiencia PARS o World Congress: Describa su experiencia al asistir al Simposio Regional Panamericano (PARS) o al Congreso Mundial de la IPSF de años anteriores (hasta 5 años antes) Hable sobre sus experiencias, aprendizaje y el papel que jugó IPSF en su vida personal y profesional al participar en estos eventos
9. Inteligencia Artificial (IA) y Salud Digital: Se anima a los estudiantes a presentar investigaciones, experiencias o artículos relacionados con la salud digital y el uso de la inteligencia artificial en salud Esta debe ser una visión general tipo resumen o un artículo modificado que deberá informar sobre cómo estas tecnologías están impactando en el mundo de la salud y qué proyecciones tiene para el futuro

- Referencias: Estilo APA y/o Vancouver con referencias en superíndice en el texto;
