Letter from the publisher For six years we at Canadian Interiors have been toiling to provide our valued readers with the most comprehensive set of tools to help the architecture and interior design community in the difficult task of product sourcing. The results have included the Design Source Guide, the 8th edition of which you are currently holding. But I also wanted to take this opportunity to announce the newest evolution of our comprehensive search tool: this fall we will be launching an online searchable database of products for the A&D community ready in time for the IIDEXCanada show. After over a year of development, the web guide will provide a comprehensive database of products specific to the A&D community that is simple to navigate and adaptable across all devices, including tablets, phones and desktops. The site will offer companies the ability to create a showroom and to list all their products, as well as feature the ability to showcase projects and allow users to identify and locate designers and architects. This online toolkit will be available soon. Until then, in this edition we have continued our partnership with IIDEXCanada and starting on page 12 have provided a teaser of the THINK:Material exhibit at the show, where you will get a glimpse of some truly innovative materials with respect to their design, engineering, performance and functionality for the architecture and design community.
