SERVICE Helping Hands Annual Food Drive • A November campus tradition since 2006! • Students, faculty and staff collect 40,00050,000 pounds of food for Findlay’s Chopin Hall in a 12-hour period

Oiler Experience • An Orientation Weekend community service project for freshmen • Students complete 50+ individual projects and contribute more than 2,000 hours of service during the daylong event

Oilers Serving Abroad • Service projects in the Dominican Republic for all majors • Started by four students in 2013 and continues with several trips annually

The Clubhouse • College of Education literacy outreach program • Free small group and individual tutoring for students in K-9 • 258 children served in 2013-2014

CAMPUS AND FACILITIES

Old Main • The oldest building on campus (1886), and the focal point of the University • A historic icon that bonds students of all generations together

James L. Child, Jr. English Equestrian Complex and Western Farm • Nearly 200 acres combined, accommodating up to 400 horses • Spacious indoor and outdoor arenas, round pens and a cross-country jumping course

C. Richard Beckett Animal Science Building • Affords pre-vet/animal science students extensive hands-on learning opportunities • 31,000-square-foot facility with two classrooms, laboratory, pharmacy, holding pens and other animal handling areas 4

Davis Street Building Science Addition • Opened in fall 2012, houses offices for College of Sciences, several classrooms and labs, lecture hall and student study areas • Geothermal system named “Best in the World” for a new educational building for 2014 by The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers

Floral Displays and Landscaping • Received a “4” Bloom Rating from America in Bloom in 2013 and 2014 • Winner of America in Bloom’s Outstanding Achievement Award for Environmental Efforts in 2013 25 POINTS OF PRIDE

The Rieck Center for Habitat Studies • 55-acre living laboratory with diverse habitats and building with classrooms and birdwatching area • A resource for natural science programs and Wilderness Club activities

Environmental Initiatives • America in Bloom’s Outstanding Achievement Award for Environmental Efforts, 2013 • Campus recycling and bicycle loan programs, student-run Community Supported Agriculture and produce business, Findlay Green Campus Initiative organization for faculty, staff and students
