The building we visited was Sidney Myer Asia Center which is a modern style building close to 757 building, the image on the left shows the horizontal structure which support the curtain glass wall which is a vertical moment. The curtain glass wall here utilized the toughened glass, this type of glass is treated to be far more resistant to breakage than simple annealed glass, and to break in a more predictable way when it does break, thus providing a major safety advantage in almost all of its applications. The stairs are made of concrete, supported by pfc.
The steel vertical bars on the top are made of cheap metal; it also helps to protect glass from sunlight exposure. The rusting on the metal here is caused by the exposure of sunlight. The major element of the metal is iron due to the red appearance.
There are a lot of deformation like rusting, cracking, leaking, gaping around the campus due to the water issues.
