HOW TO MEASURE A CROISSANT? The photo of the croissant was taken in the photo stage, and the cross-section view of the croissant was also scanned. The photo was further adjusted in the photoshop in order to increases the contrast. After that, the A3 tracing paper is used to overlay on the photo of the croissant. For the shading of the elevation, I used 2B pencil to shade the lighter part of the croissant, and the 4B pencil was used in the shadow, the outline was drawn by 0.1 fineliner. For the hatching of the plan view, the 0.25 fineliner was used to do hatching of the plan view.

THE MAKING OF NEW MARIO WORLD The new Mario world is combined by putting the front side and the back side together. Also, the characters are added into the combined world. Other things, like rainbow, stair and vine bridge, are also added in the space of Mario world. In order to link the two Mario world together, the rainbow and the vine bridge are placed between two Mario world. After drawing the Mario world by hands, the lines are reconstructed and the colour is added in the illustrator. The underground space is also explored in the illustrator. The illustrated Mario world has a different underground space with the combined world. A basket is added under the cloud. The Mario world just like a hot air balloon that can flow in the sky. The cloud is like the ballon of the hot air balloon, and the space inside the basket is another Mario world.

PAPER LANDSCAPE THE MAKING OF NEW
LANDSCAPE
In this module, we have learned how to transfer a 2D surface into a 3D model in the Rhinoceros 5. Before constructing the paper landscape, the 3D panel was constructed according to our own allocated terrain in the Rhinoceros 5. In my terrain, it got different altitude in the terrain. In order to show the different altitude, I created six different individual models which are different in shape and height. The higher models were located in the high altitude place in the terrain, while the lower models were located in the low altitude place. Also, I am trying to make a “S’ curve in the middle, so that most of the highest models are put in the “S” curve. However, the “S” curve is not obvious in the final model.

PAPER LANDSCAPE THE
UNROLL
SURFACE
The paper landscape got six different individual models. The models are different in height and shape. I have made a coloured 3D panel of the landscape in order to show the location of different individual models clearly. The higher models were located in the high altitude place in the terrain, while the lower models were located in the low altitude place. Each individual models were unrolled in the rhino in order to make the paper landscape. The unrolled surface was shown on this page.

CITY O
R
A
In my story, the old man was traveling in the wild region for a long time. He feels desire of a city, and he arrived the city called Isidora. When he first arrived the city, he saw the foreigner hesitating between two women. This scene in the story was illustrated in the perspective one. After the old man walked around the city, he sit on the stair and stared at the young man passed in front of him. The young man was himself when he was young. At the end, he realised all the things in this city is his memory. As the old man came to this city after traveling in the wild. Therefore, I try to show the difference between city and wild, I put a lot of building in the background of the perspective view. Also, I try to use different light to show the mood of characters, The first perspective have a brighter environment, as the character feels excited when he first came to this city.
17
The old quad was constructed in the Rhinoceros 5. Two steps of stairs was inserted in the old quad in the Rhinoceros 5. As the old man should sit in somewhere else inside the old quad in the perspective two, so I decided to inserted the stair in the Rhinoceros instead of just put a stair image in the photoshop.

PERSPECTIVE
ONE
The scene illustrated a man went to the city after traveling in the wild region for long period. And he saw the foreigner was talking with two women. Then, he saw a prosperous city that has a lot of buildings. Therefore, the background of this perspective scene contains a lot of buildings. Also, this view was chosen for the perspective one because it got sufficient light. In this scene, The old man went to this city after traveling in the wild for a long time. He feels excited when he came to this city. Therefore, the view should have sufficient light to show the mood of the characters.
19
PERSPECTIVE
TWO
The second perspective scene illustrated the last scene in the story. The old man was sitting on the stair and stared at the young man passed in front of him. Finally, the old man realized the young man in front of him was himself in his memory. Therefore, there are smokes around the young man. The smokes and the hanging watch in this scene are used to show this scene is only the memory of the old man. Also, this view have the stairs in the middle. In the scene, the old man sits in somewhere in the old quad. Therefore, the old man can sit on the stair. Also, this view does not got too many columns. So, the characters would not block by the columns and the smokes can place in the front of the characters.

R E F L E C T I O N A myriad of skills that can make s design process successful has taught this subject. Each module has involved different skills. In the first module, the assignment mostly focuses on hand drawing and the skills on editing the photo in the Photoshop. For module 2, it involves a lot of work in the Illustrator. Also, the module 3 and 4 are mostly focused on the Rhinoceros 5. By completing the paper landscape assignment, I also gained the skills of making the paper model. After completing the assignments, I learnt a lot of skills on using the Photoshop, the Illustrator, the Indesign and the Rhinoceros 5. For sure, those skills must be useful and relevant for my further study in architecture. Apart from the skills about design work, the most crucial skill I have learnt in this subject is time management. When doing the assignments, I realised time management is really important for us. The assignments in this subject need much more than I think, I always do not have enough time to complete the assignments. Therefore, I learnt to start the assignments early. In my further study, time management should the most useful skill that I should apply in my future. After that, the context of the lecture is also important for us. The concept tight in the lecture is relevant to each module, this really helps us on completing the assignments better. The principals of each module were trying to communicate were taught in the lecture. By learning the principals, it helps us understand how to transfer our idea through visual representation. Definitely, the context of the lecture is really useful for us to understand how to complete the assignments. Finally, I find this subject really useful for my further study, as it taught us numerous skills that are useful and relevant for the study of architecture.
