Dalian Architecture
Situated on the Liaodong peninsula in northeastern China, Dalian is surrounded by sea on three sides. Facing across the bay to the south is Shandong province, to the west is the booming city of Tianjin, while Korea lies to the east. Blessed with blue sky, turquoise water and white sand, Dalian’s picturesque seaside landscape has made it a popular summer vacation spot. Dalian is also China’s northernmost ice-free seaport, It is a trading and financial center in northeastern Asia and has gained the name the 'Hong Kong of Northern China'. This travelogue looks at the architecture in the populated downtown area.
