2021-2022 SEASON • INDIAN RIVER STATE COLLEGE
The Performing Arts
DEAR PATRONS: It is hard to believe that it was over a year ago when we closed our mainstage musical production of Grease and left the IRSC Massey Campus for a much-needed Spring Break, expecting to return in one week and continue with our subsequent productions of the 2019–2020 season. One week turned into eight months and more, as the COVID-19 pandemic closed our beloved theatre spaces to public events and forced our creative teams to think outside the “black box” (literally). To those of you who were able to join us for our innovative, outdoor productions and concerts of the 2020–2021 season, thank you for your support and trust in us to provide you quality entertainment, at a time when we all needed it most. And now, in the Fall of 2021, we are thrilled to announce that we will be back and better than ever on the McAlpin stage and at the Wynne Black Box, where we truly have got “Magic to Do.” Our faculty, students and staff have assembled an incredible season of plays, concerts, musical offerings and even original films to welcome you back to the spaces you love. The McAlpin OnStage and Wynne Black Box productions and concerts offer a little something for everyone this season, including a haunted-house thriller for Halloween weekend and a holiday music concert in December, culminating in our big spring musical: Pippin (which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2022). So join us and celebrate all the magic of the performing arts in one of the most affordable, quality entertainment venues in the Treasure Coast region. Your ticket purchase not only gains you admission to these incredible shows, but also helps fund scholarships for our performing arts students—making you an important part of their artistic careers. So don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to make a difference in these students’ lives.
