Accounting careers are in demand! The IRSC Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting prepares students to sit for the Florida Certified Public Accountant exam and to excel in careers as accountants, auditors, management analysts, financial managers and tax professionals. The program features a combination of coursework in accounting and business administration to provide a strong foundation for success in the workplace and in multiple graduate school programs.
Clubs and Honors
Students in the Accounting Program have the opportunity to participate in the Accounting Club, the Investment Club, where they can attend the annual MoneyShow University event and the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society, an international honor society for students with a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Hands-On Learning: Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Each year, Bachelor’s Degree students enrolled in the Federal Tax Procedures course put their classroom learning into practice as Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program volunteers. Students gain real-world experience by providing free tax help to qualifying people in the local community.

A.A. or A.S. Degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Common Prerequisite:
ACG2001, ACG2011, ACG2071, CGS 1060 or CGS1100, ECO2013, ECO2023, MAC2233 and STA2023.
Foreign Language Requirement:
Students who have not taken two years of the same foreign language in high school must complete two semesters or 8 credit hours of the same foreign language at the college level to meet the foreign language requirement.
