The Career Ready program is a self-paced experience that provides activities and resources that support career exploration and employment readiness. The program provides opportunities for IRSC students to showcase their skills, be more competitive in an internship and job search, and prepare for employment and graduate school.
Registered IRSC students may enroll in the Career Ready program at the start of a fall or spring semester. They have up to one academic year to complete this free program. Students will • Develop career competency skills; • Build connections in their field and develop networks; • Boost their career readiness; • Gain real-world experience by volunteering, job shadowing and working in the local community;
• Receive special invitations to events and networking opportunities with professionals; and • Earn a Career Readiness Program Certificate of Completion. To complete the program, students must • Build a resumé; • Review competency skills; • Attend a Linkedin & Networking Workshop and build a profile; • Attend at least two additional Career and Transfer Services workshops or events; • Participate in a mock interview; and • Complete the exit survey.
