PROS: Owner has freedom to utilize his own farm, can accomodate significant production, and can be incorporated into a community gardening system. CONS: Often disconnected from community and underutilized. Require high maintenance and encourage wasteful landscaping. Not good for vey dense areas.

Similar to community garden, where each residents have a personal space, but allotment tend to be larger (250m2) and often located on the edge of residential community, in transition zone between neighborhood and forest. PROS: Large enough for production which can peovide health and economic benefits of a private garden, with community access. CONS: Distance to the house, and production is for personal use only.

The large villa plots (including one built villa) along the southern side of the main entry road next to hole # 9 (10 no. total – including the built villa). These lots range from 1,950 sqm to 3,400 sqm. 2. A cluster of 43 villas located beyond holes #4 and #5. These villas have either golf or sea views (some will have both). Retirement Village This village is located on a 2.2ha (21,990 sqm) parcel near the Amanusa Hotel, behind hole #9 tee. The exact nature of this village can remain flexible as it could become one of three different types of village; • A retirement village comprising approximately 20-30 small individual units/homes, each with its own small garden area – similar to cluster housing. A communal center, clinic and a convenience shop would be included. • A medical recuperation village, marketed for the short to mid length post operation rest and recuperation. The accommodation would be smaller one bedroom units and a clinic/ light medical facilities would be required. Approximately 25-35 units. • Approximately 15-20 small individual villa plots marketed to the active retiree market. No additional services or medical facilities would be required.

Hotel Expansion We envisage the current Amanusa Hotel expanding to the forested valley to the west of its current site. We would also envisage this land parcel expanding to include the stream and part of the opposite slope. The proposed 120-150 key expansion would be a mix of standard rooms on the flatter higher part of the site, with the suites nestled into the forest as they drop down towards the stream.
