SELECTED WORKS
Considerations of the cheetah’s owner are brought into attention in the next stage of the project, creating a client that has similar attributes to the cheetah. These homes must fit within a standard carparking space, and in relation to the cheetah is the home of a professional sprinter.
YEAR 01 This project introduces the concept of animal architecture; designing a habitat that best suits the attributes of a cheetah. Designs circulate between tunnels for short sprints and areas that mirror the conditions of a hot and dry climate.

YEAR 01 / INDOOR TRACK COMPLEX Applying the concepts of movement and exercise from the previous projects, this building explores the limitations of site and attempts to resolve problems of access between the cycle path and the pedestrian paths. The track utlises a 70m treadmill system that enables it to become a full length running track on a limited site, whilst retaining the cycle path that runs below the centre of the bridged track.

YEAR 02 / MAZE PARK The introduction of technical aspects such as cantilevers, post & beam structures, and heavy wall construction lead to the generation of physical installments that enhanced the sites activity and functionality. This landscaping based project allowed the site to interact with communities, drawing them into a fun and interactive space where families and children can utilise. The several entries and exits within the maze allows users to go in and out of the physical puzzle, without getting too confined in a traditional setting of a maze.

YEAR 02 / SPA & MASSAGE CENTRE In relation to research on stress within large cities, this projects opts to help people relax and de-stress from the harsh working environments of the present world. The open atrium creates a welcoming entry, where a rainwater harvesting system creates a water wall that runs across the front facade of the building. The building is symmetrical on both sides, separating genders at specific levels, creating public and private spaces that are beneficial for a variety of ethnic traditions and etiquettes.

YEAR 03 / DANCE & MUSIC CENTRE The applications of a ‘sound orientated’ site contribute to the programme of the building. The undulating landscape entry and roof creates a more dynamic and diverse site, drawing people into the space. The organic form imitates the elegant nature of dance & music, whilst being a relatively low lying building constructed in timber to give a minimalist and elegant atmosphere in the interior and exterior.
