Architectural Thesis 2016: Resilient Fitzroy 2046
I believe the thoughtful product of 21st century architecture should be one that functions as a unified system; a system that is flexible, adaptable and conglomerated. The aforementioned relates to what I call as Resilient Architecture. By 2046, it is without a doubt that with the increase in density will result in accessibility issues in relation to time. My proposal seeks to challenge the existing notion of boundaries in order to derive the need for a more conglomerated system. The future architectural system has to be able to adapt to the dynamic changes of the economy, society and the environment. Porosity is required on every level of architecture in order to allow for the users of the twenty-first century to manifest and share. Ultimately, it is not about an individual, but rather, an amalgamated and unified whole.
