A JOURNEY I had been told that my stay in Edinburgh would be an experience to remember, and it
really was. I will never forget going through the old rooms in the castle, which was full
of antique furniture. Besides, since the castle is on top of a hill, the view from there was
amazing. The scenery was the most beautiful Ǿ I had ever seen . In spite of the rain, we
also went on a trip to the Loch Ness, where a monster is said to live, and, although the
monster didn’t appear, I didn’t mind, because the landscape was even more beautiful
than the one Ǿ we could see from the castle. In fact, I am sure that if the monster had
come out of the water, I wouldn’t have enjoyed the boat trip so much.
Unfortunately, we were there just for a weekend, so there were a lot of museums,
monuments and art galleries that I felt like seeing but I couldn’t see.
I look forward to returning to the capital of Scotland in the near future. ___________________________________________________________________ Indirect speech.
