Who flies? Who roars? My first bestiary Animals and birds: throughout these two first bestiaries, learn all about animal’s similarities and differences. These two thick volumes are both beautiful and intriguing — an artist’s portfolio, a concept book, and a wordbook rolled into one. Each title figures fifty animals from all around the world. The birds: the eagle, the sparrow, the pink flamingo… the lion, the zebra, the salamander... The connections between the spreads (two animals face to face) are both clear and subtle. Stunningly illustrated with retro-looking images, Who flies? and Who roars? are two lavishly produced volumes.

The ABC Game
Bones, help!
An innovative game-book with scenes that unveil little by little, flap after flap. A wide-angle scene on the left page features the animal pictured from afar. With a close-up on the right page, surprise! the animal is there, hidden behind four square flaps that tell a short, funny story. Seven animals in a pastel color palette, to be discovered in four steps by the younger ones.
Inspired by the Montessori educational approach, this ABC book is just brilliant. What could be better than to touch the letters, play with them and assemble them in order to tame words, and learn how to spell and write? 26 letters, 5 vowels and 10 fingers: you’ll be the king or queen of letters!
Something terrible has happened in Bone City! Something horrible, something nearly indescribable! The Creature was here. Yes, THE Creature. The whole town is terrified. Who will catch it? And could the Creature really be that dangerous? A spooky and hilarious story by the famous French duo Jean-Luc Fromental and Joëlle Jolivet.

In my house, there are the things on which I can sit, those with which I can cook, those that are always around, the things to work on, the things to play with: all together, they form my home… discover them all here, in their own environment, living their own life!
One morning spring, a hunter arrives in the forest. Careful, careful! Who will he catch? Quick, quick! Put on your mask and run to hide! Will you become the tiger, the fox, the hare or the genie of the forest? And who will be able to defeat the hunter? A big book with nine masks with a breathtaking story throughout the forest, to play to be scared.

Where’s my hat?
The Red Cube And also…
A little boy invents many stories, using 10 geometrical patterns. One day, he draws a hat, but the hat flies away, and is stolen by a little monkey. Throughout the city, the boy will follow the hat, try to get it back, using his imagination and going into different stores and places (the zoo, the bakery, the hairdresser, the library…) All images are built with these geometrical patterns.

It appeared at dawn: a red cube, standing here, at the edge of the forest. “How mysterious”, said the howl. “How strange”, said the wolf. Morning came. In the mist the red cube didn’t move. “Still there?” grumbled the polecat. At midday, a rainbow shined bright. Three bears wondered aloud: “Is it a shoe box?” The hedgehog kept silent. When came the end of the day, tic-tic zip boom, the cube vibrated and made strange sounds. The wild boars ran away…
The Big Book of Little Thumb
Rosalie
After Little Red Riding Hood, Puss in Boots and Bluebeard, Clementine Sourdais revisits the classical tale Little Thumb, by 17th century French writer Charles Perrault: a giant and spectacular laser-cut book that offers a new insight of the tale through visual surprises and shadow-silhouettes.
Rosalie is a cute little black hen, dreamy but stubborn. Her biggest dream is to fly, and she is determined to do so. Meanwhile, she takes walks through landscapes and forests, and meets a wild goose, a magpie and, finally, a worm, absolutely enchanted to embark on an adventure with these new friends! Encounters due to fate, friendships and dreams compose this book with drawings and patterns as delicate as a an embroidery. Claire Brun has drawn inspiration from Russian fairytales, especially the work of Russian artist Nathalie Parain.

Captain Serafina
Dino Hide and Seek
Suzie’s Theories
Serafina the giraffe and her boon companions — Patrick the rabbit, Hugo the Kangaroo, Beryl the frog and Ernest the crocodile — go at their mad adventures with such great solemnity that they never fail to delight (Serafina the Giraffe). This time they are off down their river in their sailboat, The Dragonfly. With Ernest as captain of the dinghy and Serafina at the helm of her other ship, the day’s adventure is fraught with their own excitement and the eternal bussiness of Patrick as passenger and picnicker. The brightly drawn Serafina brings her crew safely to an ending as happy as her audience. First published in 1963, a delicious vintage book for today’s kids.
A very, very, VERY long time ago, so long ago that nobody even remembers that time, dinosaurs frolicked everywhere. But the thing is, dinos got madly bored. There was no TV, there were no books, no balls, no video games — NOTHING to play with. One day, the big dinos got so bored they decided to play with the little ones. Finally, they were able to have fun! But what did the small dinos think about that?! Well, they decided to come up with an idea, so that the big dinos wouldn’t run after them (and eat them).
Suzie is a little girl who has funny, extravagant, smart and sometimes really logical, quite impossible to contradict, really, theories. She has a theory about why the trees sleep standing up, a theory on how it is utterly impossible for dinosaurs to have gone completely extinct, and one about why goldfish really taste like strawberries. And so many more... French writer Éric Chevillard listened carefully to his own little girl, Suzie, before ‘re’writing her theories about everyday life. They are truly poetic, and for all about us to read again and again, reminding us that we, grown-ups, could really benefit from listening a bit more to children.
Laurent de Brunhoff was born in 1925. He studied painting and when his father Jean de Brunhoff died he became the author of the famous Babar series and created his own characters, among which Serafina.
Ga lle Mazars Jean-Baptiste Drouot are both graphic designers. Jean-Baptiste Drouot is also an illustrator, and Gaëlle Mazars writes children’s stories. This is their first collaboration together.

Beautiful and good A photography book for children, introducing everyday senses and feelings. Two photos, two sentences: It’s beautiful / It’s good suggest contemplation, transformation and feelings all together. To the bees gathering pollen echoes the sparkle of a pot full of honey in the sun. To the thick and full wool of the sheep in the field succeeds the fluffy comfort of a little girl’s cardigan. A book to talk about images, meanings and suggestions, a beautiful book to feel good.
