A little boy invents many stories with the help of 10 geometrical patterns. One day, he creates a hat, but the hat flies away, and is stolen by a little monkey. Throughout the city, he will follow the hat, trying to get it back, using his imagination and entering in different stores and places (the zoo, the bakery, the hairdresser, the library…) All images are built with these geometrical patterns.

Didier Cornille is the author for Helium of Mini-Maxi, Bon voyage and the series Who Built it? An illustrated introduction to houses /skyscrapers. The first title received a mention in Bologna Fair 2012 and is now sold in many languages. He teaches design at the Fine Arts school in Le Mans.

Laurent de Brunhoff was born in 1925. He studied painting and when his father Jean de Brunhoff died he became the author of the famous Babar series and created his own characters, among which Serafina.

Natacha Andriamirado was born in Madagascar. After working on TV screenplays, she published short stories and a novel (Maurice Nadeau). She lives close to Paris. Delphine Renon is a designer and an illustrator. She works with many children’s books publishers. She also lives close to Paris.


SIROCCO: MISSION KAKAPO • Emmanuelle Grundmann 1997. Sirroco the kakapo is born on Codfish Island, in New-Zealand. One among the 126 kakapos that are still alive. They manage to save his life, but when Sirocco gets bigger, he has to figure out on his own how to survive, as he grew up under the lights of an incubator and only knows human beings. It’s not easy either to make friends and find love when no one taught you how to do. A story based on real facts: Sirocco does exist and he became the embassador for the kakapos after a documentary about endangered species made him famous (he has his own Facebook page).
