Good or Bad Idea Illustrations: Pascal Lemaitre Text: Ludovic Flamant

Board Book with holes 26 pages / 150 x 210 mm CD with files available

To rock on a swing, good idea. To rock in your chair, bad idea. To play « Guess who? » in the garden, good idea. To play « Guess who? » in the car, bad idea. To leave Daddy in the dark, good or bad idea? Move ideas with your fingers! Ludovic Flamant was born in Namur in 1978. He clearly remembers crying at the age of twelve because he was no longer able to play with his Playmobils. So he waited for the wish to come back. In the meanwhile he wrote for adults: a novel, some theatre… And then it came back! Now he plays every time he writes for children. He lives in Brussels with his son and daughter. Pascal Lemaitre lives half the year in Brussels, where he teaches in the art school La Cambre and half the year in New York. His work appears in the press (The New York Times, Le Monde...) and also in children magazines. He has published many books for children at Simon & Schuster (Who’s Got the Game by Toni Morrisson) and Pastel.

Sven and the Musicians of the Sky Text: Pierre Coran Illustrations: Célia Chauffrey

32 pages / 235 x 330 mm CD with files available

Sven, the little guardian of the mountain, was a flute-player. Whenever he played his melodies, the notes flew away. But that day, when he played, a huge whirlwind blew up from the White Valley. Sven felt he was being sucked up and carried away. An amazing force kept his eyelids jammed shut. When Sven opened his eyes again, he was in an endless corridor. Names sung out from the doors: Bach, Grieg, Brahms, Chopin, Mozart... A poet, novelist and storyteller, Pierre Coran was born in Belgium in 1934. For a long time he worked as a primary school teacher, following Freinet’s method, then as a college director and literature professor. He has been awarded various prizes for his literary career - which also includes novels for young adults - among which the Grand Prix de Poésie pour la Jeunesse (for children’s poetry). Célia Chauffrey lives in France. After majoring in literature, she studied graphic design in Paris. Then she joined the Émile Cohl School in Lyon where she graduated in 2003.
