For my license project, I wanted to create housing for students, uniting the comfort of an apartment into small studios. Each studio (or flat) has its own kitchenette, bed, desk, wardrobe and bathroom / wc. I took advantage of the industrial architecture with the glass roofs and the high ceilings to separate the common areas and private spaces (studios), which extend over two floors. We access the building through two main glass doors , and find the reception on the right. Entering the common area, we find a snacking area in the center with cofee tables on each side. A green corner is the center of the space, surrounded by stairs that take us to the 1st floor. At the bottom is a lounge area with sofas to rest. The common space forms an open space, without partitions, with a ceiling height of more than 6m, allowing natural light to pass through the ceiling canopies. On both sides of the common space are the private areas, accessible by 2 doors on each side. They are separated by a corridor for acoustic and intimate reasons. I created green open spaces inside the common spaces to bring natural light to the ground floor. Finally, a gym is available to students, as well as a game room. A laundry room is also accessible in the basement. I used wood as the only material, to bring out the rustic effect of the building, and to give a comfort effect.

For my design object, I was inspired by the room decoration of the Hobo Hotel in Stockholm. I took the concept of a modular wall, but I created larger holes to put shelves. In my opinion, a modular wall is a very practical and useful architectural object, especially for young costumers ; it fits perfectly in my project. It is a fundamental object, which has a great importance in the architecture of s.g. flats. Hobo Hotel

For my hotel room project, I wanted to create a unique experience : the client must feel amazed by the architecture of the room. To do so, I wanted to create circular partitions with windows that give way to the magnificent view of the Vals mountains. I placed a mirror on the ceiling, to have a sense of grandeur, and to bring more natural light to the interior of the room.

For my project of industrial reconversion into apartments, I wanted to create a separation between public spaces (living room, dining room, kitchen), and private spaces (bedrooms, bathroom, toilet). I wanted to create small privatized apartments in the two big ones. The first (and the largest) contains three small “private apartments”, each with a bedroom, a wardrobe, and a bathroom / wc. The second houses a bedroom with its bathroom / wc on the ground floor, and above, a second “private apartment” with its bedroom, wardrobe, and bathroom / wc. I used just one main material : natural wood, to keep this rustic loft effect.

Paris is a city rich in beauty and art, home to many parks and green spaces. On the other hand, there is only one problem when one lives in Paris: the intimacy. Indeed, we can not have a green space without the neighbors or passers-by taking advantage of it. For this fact, my project, being a house in the charming 14th district of Paris, and only 60m2 on the ground and 12m high, has its own inner garden, a space of relaxation and serenity, visible through the 4 floors of the house. The garden is located in the basement, next to the mother’s painting workshop and the father’s office. Some trees are chosen especially for this project, long and thin trees (such as betula platyphylla ‘fargo’ or populus tremula ‘erecta’) that can pass through the canopy that reaches the roof of the house.
The house is divided into four floors: the basement, the ground floor, the 1st floor, the 2nd and the 3rd. The basement is reserved for the parents’ workspace: the office of the father who is a judge, and the workshop of the mother, who is a painter. The ground floor houses the living room, kitchen, dining room, and a small terrace, located on the side of the street of Square Montsouris. The 1st floor is intended for the parents: one finds there the parental suite, containing the room, the wardrobe, a toilet, and a bathtub. They even have a small private room. The second floor is intended for small children: the boy of 11 years old, and the little girl, still in her mother’s belly. There are two bedrooms, their bathroom/ shower room, and their small private living room. Finally, the third floor is dedicated to their teenage son. It contains his bedroom, his living room, his bathroom / toilet, and his gym. Each floor houses its interior patio.
The father is a judge : he wants his own office with a big library.
The mother is a painter : she wants a studio with an access on a small interior garden.
Their first son is a 17 year old teenager : he wants his own room with a private living room where he can invite his friends over. He is also asking for a gym.
Richie is their 11 year old son : he wants his own room with a living room where he could play with his video games.

Loft s N.Y.
For my project of Reconversion of an industrial space into a house, I created two apartments with the spirit of “New York loft”, I used three materials: wood, concrete and glass bricks. I wanted to create an open space: a living room, a dining room and a kitchen in one single space. In both apartments, on the first floor, there is a bedroom with a bathroom, and a separate WC. The mezzanine is accessible by spiral ascenders, where you can find the private area of the inhabitants (bedrooms, bathroom, etc.). Large windows run along the two apartments, letting the light in. The beams, the columns and the windows, present on the original floor plan of the premises, accentuate this atmosphere of New York loft.
