Mathematics High Achievers 24 June-5 July Year 5-8 This course is designed to provide the students, who are interested in studying high level of Mathematics throughout their academic lives, with the knowledge of advanced Mathematics. What is a Maths high achieving student? • • •
Student who are academically able and achieve the grades higher than the class average. Students who are confident with his/her academic curriculum and seek for challenging tasks. Regardless of natural intelligence, students who put dedicated effort into their learning to improve their capacities.
Teacher: Ms. Cigdem Karaman Participants: Current year 5-8 Course outline: Students will solve various problems algebraically, graphically and analytically at following topics: Solving Equations; Formulas and Applications; Applications and Problem Solving, Graphs and Equations; Functions and Graphs, Systems of Equations in Two Variables, Rational Expressions and Functions, Solving Quadratic Equations, Radical Expressions and Functions. Period: Session 1: 24 June- 5 July Session 2 :08-19 July Course Length: Each session is two weeks, 20 lessons and length of 50 min each lesson.
