Nursery Newsletter – Friday, 7th March

Vaciyev Vahid has been the Maker Baker this week! The muffins were delicious! Thank you Vacos!

and...HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! Enjoy each moment with your adorable children! They are just wonderful!!

What we learned about this week March is a very special time as we celebrate Mother’s Day. The children have all been very busy making extra special gifts for all the Mummies. We practiced the songs for Mother’s Day as we prepared to celebrate the most important person in their lives! I hope you will enjoy the presents, made especially for you, as they have put a lot of effort into making the bookmarks, the cards, painting the flower pots and decorating the biscuits! This week we have had activities based on the coming of spring and of course, some of them have been related to Mother’s Day. Their English vocabulary has improved as I have noticed during our Circle Time that each one of them was able to name some pictures while using simple sentences. Well done children! Children have played circle games and classic children's games.

What we plan for next week During this half term, we will be learning about different kinds of transport. Next week, they will learn about land trasportation. We will begin to talk about being safe on the roads, about crossing the road carefully and we will watch two videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bh9NFeXFlU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAgxZ-l5pY8 We will watch a story “Finley the fire engine” and talk about the different vehicles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaASLxYaeBk.

On Friday, they will be having the opportunity to go on a trip around Bucharest. They will notice different ways of transportation, such as : trams, buses, cars, trucks, airplanes and so on.

How you can help your child Make up a story with your child using lots of new, interesting words. Be consistent about simple rules your child must follow, such as making the bed or putting toys away. Let your child take responsibility for cleaning up and they will model appropriate social interaction and politeness.
