Once again, the awards season has come between the months of January, February, and March From the most nominated movies to the best artists of the year overall, this article will explore everything you need to know about Awards Season this year!
“Everywhere Everything All at Once” and “The Banshees of Inisherin” won the majority of best picture awards; “Everywhere Everything All at Once” follows the story of a disoriented mother in the multiverse, while “The Banshees of Inisherin” is a historical drama/comedy about life during the Irish Civil war in 1923 in a small isolated villlage
Out of all the major film industry awards, the following movies have been nominated for Best Picture the most: All Quiet on the Western Front, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everywhere Everything All at Once, The Fablemans, Tar, Top Gun: Maverick, Triangle of Sadness, Babylon, Women Talking, and finally, Elvis
Now on to music!
The Record of the Year award was most commonly awarded to “About Damn Time” by American musician Lizzo Some of the most nominated songs were: “Don't Shut Me Down” by ABBA, “Easy On me” by Adele, and “Break My Soul” by Beyoncé.
Additionally, the Album of the Year award was mostly won by the infamous Harry Styles with “Harry’s House”, along with some nominations for: “Good Morning Gorgeous (Deluxe)” by Mary J. Blige, “In These Silent Days” by Brandi Carlile, and “Music Of The Spheres” by Coldplay.
Furthermore, the Song of the Year was most often awarded to “Just Like That” by Bonnie Rait, with the Best New Artist often going to Samara Joy, and the best solo performance going to Adele, with “Easy On Me.”
