There are some little known facts that are part of the world of wine, of our culture of good drinking and of our approach to it that few people know.

Popular wisdom often hands down considerable truth. Moderate amoun ts of wine have been shown to increase the production of ‘good’ cholesterol (HDL) which in turn reduces the formation of atherosclerotic pla ques in blood vessel walls. Such results have been seen especially with red wine which is rich in resveratrol and other polyphenols.

Have you ever wondered why we toast with bubbles? Here too the rea son is to be found in popular beliefs. The secret is in the “popping” of the cork which, it was believed, scared evil spirits and thus freed the house from negative forces.

The polyphenol concentrated aqueous solution, extracted from must and marc with many other precious active ingredients. Produced and patented by the university start-up Accadermica, which created the extract through the use of microwaves, replacing the classic solvents and the classic chemical methods, now unsustainable from an ecological point of view.

Extracted from the pulp of red grapes, one of the most powerful antioxidants present in nature, with an anti-ageing action that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin by counteracting the action of free radicals, responsible for premature skin ageing.

RED VINE (Vitis vinifera)

Rich in flavonoids, natural antioxidants beneficial for the health of all blood vessels, including capillaries.

It improves wound healing and can help in chronic fatigue syndrome. The leaves in particular have anti-inflammatory and astringent properties.

ROSA CANINA (Rosa canina)

Rich in vitamin C and flavonoids, it has anti-inflammatory properties and helps the absorption of calcium and iron.
