The project is a wedge in the south of Milan, stretching from the central urban area to the peri-urban and till the agricultural fields. The idea was to design and propose a green strategy network for this wedge to bring green into the city. The sustainable development goals (SDGs) and ecosystem services were taken into account and the area along Naviglio was revived, along with the 5 chosen points to propose core areas into.

After the green strategy, a focus area was chosen from the five and a core design has to be made. Shown below are drawings from the conceptual stage of design, and solutions to upgrade the area according to the challenges, SDGs and ecosystem services. Nature based solutions were considered and proposed along the wedge and the site along with urban and landscape solutions.

The project is located in Puglia region on the coast of historical city of Bari. A large urban park is proposed alongside the coastal area, keeping in mind the connectivity, accessbility, and landscape aspects. A concept of prospect and refuge is introduced to understand the experience of people alongside the coast and this park.
PROSPECT AND REFUGE THEORY, Experiences of the Landscape The process of understanding how humans perceive spaces, especially in a landscape.

THE VISION The park was designed with a vision of future, to adapt to the rising sea levels and future conditions; how we see the space to be used in the next 80-100 years, with flourishing biodiversity and the nature taking over, still having some human interaction and security.

V ER TIC A L LA NDS CAPE OF CREMONA Purifying the skyline paradigm
Academic/Competition: Sustainable landscape proposal in the most polluted city of Italy This project was shortlisted in top 6 for the competition of Superscape 2022 and we are currently in the process of developing details of the towers for Phase 2 in a general urban residential context. http://www.superscape.at/eng/Shortlist

For a landscape solution for the city of Cremona, it became clear from the analysis the need of Carbon Capture towers, given the scale of pollution in the city. These towers were seen as a landscape element enhancing the image of the city, placed in an abandoned industrial refinery area on the outskirts.

The idea of carbon capture towers was born during an extensive analysis of the city and the region where Cremona is based. The vertical elements in the city have been an important part of the skyline and image since the beginning of time. The new addition of these towers, while cleaning out the pollution in an effective way, also enhanced this value; but never overshadowing it.

The project brief was to create a sustainable micro-town for a multi-aged community in a world that is constantly evolving. Our design is based on the idea of unity and fragmentation offering a formal city-like and organic settlements at the same time. The main goal was designing for all.

This project is envisioned as the story of a young traveller to Piacenza in 2021. Half historian, part-time archaeologist, full-time visionary designer, she uses available old and new documents, to reconstruct in her mind, both fictive and real. In the ideal future, nature has retrieved its primordial presence and expanses of open public realms have been envisioned between the old city and the river, past the old walls, obstructive infrastructure, and illusory boundaries.

The given site was a challenging one with steep contours and a running canal from the middle of the site. The pavilion was building over the canal of running water from below it, but without harming any natural setting of the area. No trees were cut during the whole process.

D E -VO ID TH E CHAPEL Reuse the Lake Chapel: Reuse Italy
Competition project: Reuse Italy Project site:
San Giovanni in Val di Lago, Italy
Project Year:
2021-22
Project Team:
Agrawal Ishita, Prachi Rawat, Salcone Valeria, Suarez Alejandro
Softwares:
AutoCad, Google sketchup, Adobe Suite, Lumion
The aim of the competition was to revive a late reinassance church along the historical Via Francigena path. ‘De-void the chapel’ revitalizes the Chapel and its surrounding space, reminiscing the unfinished roof through a new intervention reshaped as a modern subservient of the building. While the intervention on the chapel consists in adding, subtracting is dominant in the opposite space for the rebirth of social interactions of the pilgrims. The creation of subterranean spaces allows the spiritual and symbolic rebirth of the Chapel while remaining as a key element of the landscape.
