Meet Neil Goldman A Baseball Kind Of Guy New LMA board member, Neil Goldman was born and raised in Chicago. The eldest of four, he grew up with one brother and two sisters. The Goldman kids spent many happy summers at their grandfather’s cottage in South Haven, Michigan, a 2-hour drive from Chicago. Neil graduated from the University of Illinois with a major in Political Science. Degree in hand, he realized that job opportunities were few and far between in the field he had chosen, so he enrolled at the University of Illinois, College of Law. A baseball aficionado, Neil paid his way through college and law school by being a vendor at Wrigley Field and Comiskey Park, jobs he held for ten straight summers.

Douglas Day
The Orange Juice Man
By Diana Colson Newly elected to the LMA board, Douglas Day brings the attitude of the farmer to the table. He and his brother own and operate a 100-acre grove of orange trees in Myaaka City, a profession Doug finds filled with independence. Doug’s Mom was born and raised in Bradenton. She was working as secretary for Bobby Jones, Senior, when she met Doug’s father at a Coca Cola conference in Atlanta. (He was the attorney for Coca Cola.)They were engaged a mere 10 days later. The newly married couple moved to northeastern Pennsylvania. Both Doug and his brother were born and raised in this hard coal region, but they also got to know Florida. When they were kids, they were taken on frequent trips to visit in Bradenton. Continued on page 13
and my summer job fit my interest perfectly. The Cubs have not been in the World Series since 1906,—the longest streak in baseball—and I would like to see them get there in my lifetime.” Continued on page 9
The LMA Board, in response to numerous requests, has taken action to ensure the safety and security of our community. As members of The Landings community we share our roads with walkers, bicyclists and pets. People of all ages and mobility levels enjoy our beautiful environment. Unfortunately, speeding has been on the increase, both by residents, guests and vendors. All Landings households have been notified by either email or first class mail about
the new speeding regulations. Effective June 1, 2015, the current 25 mph speed limit on portions of two major roadways – Landings Boulevard and Kestral Park Way North & South - will be reduced to 20 mph. The portion of Landings Boulevard currently posted at 15 mph and all other roads in The Landings will remain at 15 mph. We ask that all using our roadways recognize these new regulations and yield to both pedestrians and cyclists.
