CHALLENGE! Our 50’s Party with our Midwest friends was a great success! Everyone had fun remembering the Good Old Days. The old games of jacks and checkers was won by the New England Club and card flipping and paddle ball were won by the Midwest Club. The winner was determined by a game of hangman which was won by the New England Club and gave New England the trophy. This trophy has been passed back and forth between the two clubs for about 15 years.
The music was so GREAT!!! It was provided by John’s Mobile Music and it got everyone up dancing to the wonderful tunes of the 50’s. A big “thanks” to our New England Club chefs Stew Franklin, Mike Renzulli, and Ron and Sue Proulx who provided an excellent meal of delicious homemade mac and cheese and great old-fashioned burgers. The big hit was the root beer floats and wonderful big banana splits. The people arriving were greeted by Evie and Paul Loud’s beautiful 50’s Chevy. A big thanks for sharing.
A heartfelt thanks to our New England Team for all of your help! We have a great Team! Thanks to Sue Lanum and the Midwest Club for all their support. The best 50’s dress prize was awarded to Linda Parise and Sharon Boehlke from Midwest and Ginny and Bob Loring from New England. Our biggest thanks goes to Judy Machnicz, our VP, who as always amazes us with her outstanding organizing ability. We love you, Judy! ~ Dawn Benjamin
