Halloween brought much fun to Drag Queen Bingo at the Shell Factory and some of our Tara Woods residents were there to join in! We even had a winner!

The New Image Chorus has been rehearsing for almost two months, and with the addition of some of our winter members the sounds in the Clubhouse have become stronger, smoother and oh so sweet. Dave Adams, our musical director, continues to lead us through new tunes that we know will dazzle our audience at our concert in April 2020.

Rehearsing was not all we did in November. The Chorus participated in the Craft Fair on November 2 nd . We raf ed off two wonderful baskets: one lled with fourteen bottles of liquid libations, and a second basket lled with gourmet snacks. The best part of the raf e was that both baskets were won by Tara Woods residents. The basket of cheer (lots of booze) went to Trish Brown who resides on Steamboat Loop. The gourmet snacks basket went to Dona Fox, residing on Wood eld Circle. Thank you, ladies, as well as everyone else who bought raf e tickets supporting the Chorus.
The Chorus continued to be active in community events in November. We were attered to be asked to perform for the CHEERS TO THE 90 YEARS BIRTHDAY LUNCHEON on Friday afternoon, November 8 th . Accompanied by piano virtuoso Norm Libby, the Chorus performed four songs: YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE, BLUE MOON, SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY and we closed with the beautiful Civil War melody SHENANDOAH. Congratulations to all in attendance who were 90 plus, that includes the Chorus’ own John D’Amico. Thanks for allowing the Chorus to be a part of your honored day.
The Chorus will not be rehearsing in December. We hope everyone had a terri c Thanksgiving and that the approaching holiday season will be one of great joy. We will be returning to our Monday rehearsals on the rst Monday of 2020.
For those of you who make New Year’s resolutions, the most important one should be to join the best chorus in the area.
May the joy of the holiday season be with you all. Rod Browder Chorus Member NEWS YOU CAN SING TOO
