carefully by an international jury, Loremen Showroom project beat the rival projects from 23 countries and it will now be competing with its competitors in the final organization to be held on 26 April 2019 in Shanghai. Designed by OSO Architecture on a 690 sqm area for a shoe company located in Jeddah, the showroom, as the main concept of the design, has a curved corridor and independent exhibition areas designed alongside
the corridor due to the structural form of the building. In order to unite the independent exhibition areas created under a common architectural language, the ceilings and the floors have specially been emphasized. The ceiling system designed for this purpose is meant to guide the visitors from the entrance onwards and to create a welcoming effect and this effect has been reinforced thanks to the integration of the ceiling laths and the lighting system. OSO Architecture founders planned a “kitchenette” to serve as a socialization point at the end of the showroom and thus created a center of attraction which will contribute to the customers touring the whole of the venue. The reception desk at the office entrance has been designed inspired by the Arabic alphabet. The architects, aiming to create a luxurious and elegant atmosphere at the showroom, have predominantly preferred white and shining
materials. The visual perception and the depth effect have been doubled by using mirrors on the exhibition walls. In addition to the showroom, the project also incorporates the management office of the company. The office space consists of one open office, four manager rooms and one multipurpose lounge area and created with a plain and minimalistic design.
