DESIGN ESTEL: Tre generazioni, un'unica passione Estel è l'acronimo di Estensibile Stella ovvero di un brevetto di apertura-chiusura di un contenitore: un armadio e/o una Madia. Creato nel 1963 dal Fondatore Alfredo Stella diviene subito un successo. Un DNA legato al design presente anche nel fratello Nino, nei figli Franco (architetto, oggi impegnato nella ricostruzione dello Schloss Charlottenburg - Castello Charlottenburg - di Berlino), Pierluigi (Designer indipendente) e Alberto (Presidente Estel e Designer manager).

DESIGN ESTEL: Three generations, a single passion Estel is the acronym for Extendible Stella, that is, a patented opening/closing mechanism for storage: wardrobes and/or sideboards. Created in 1963 by the founder Alfredo Stella, it became an immediate success. With the "Vertical Shade" catalog, ESTEL OFFICE is a “borders without borders” creation, going beyond just planning and realising spaces and towards the creation of alternative dimensions. And this is how the design of these walls, which are no longer barriers but space modulators and thought facilitators, was conceived. Presence and absence, transparency and substance, dialogue and privacy: active subjects in defining the space between individual and team work. The space again takes form thanks to the knowledgeable work of ESTEL whose designers are able to translate large environments into comfortable and functional work spaces without losing sight of the style and elegance that the “Made in Italy” design is renowned for. Walls that no longer define but create worlds in a universe of professionalism: this is the vision and the mission that defines the aims of ESTEL when designing the office spaces created for and lived in by you and your staff.

SlimBox è leggerezza e trasparente eleganza in partizioni interne a vetro singolo in grado di far nascere un nuovo ambiente di lavoro, ambienti ben delimitati senza però perdere in ampiezza e luminosità. Pareti vetrate, parzialmente o totalmente cieche, dotate di mobili contenitori integrati e di sistemi di attrezzabilità della pannellatura vetrata (mensole, contenitori, tende). Caratterizzata da 2 diverse altezze per i profili orizzontali e da una vasta scelta di tipologie di porte e di giunti angolari, SlimBox vive l’ufficio con armonia e pulizia formale a favore di una più alta fruibilità e riconoscibilità degli ambienti.

SlimBox is light and elegance in transparent singleglazed internal partitions able to create a new working environments which are well-defined without losing the sense of spaciousness and brightness. Partially or totally blind glass walls, equipped with integrated cabinets and systems for easily equipping the glass panelling (shelves, cabinets, curtains). Characterised by 2 different heights of horizontal profiles is and a wide range of doors and corner joints, SlimBox breathes life into the office with harmony and clean formal lines, favouring a greater usability and recognition of the environments.

Minimalismo, rigore e uniformità cromatica di bianco sono stati gli elementi essenziali del progetto Estel per la nuova sede direzionale di iLMeteo.it. I nuovi uffici si trovano all’interno del futuristico edificio Net Center di Padova: un ambiente lussuoso e dinamico, sede ideale per l'impresa che vuol dar di sé un'immagine prestigiosa e moderna. I tavoli riunione Altagamma, le scrivanie Asterisco In con i piani in vetro acidato retrolaccato bianco, le poltrone Tulip e i divani George garantiscono essenzialità e rigore estetico richiesti per i nuovi uffici direzionali e di rappresentanza del sito di previsioni meteorologiche più seguito d’italia. Un «colosso» del web creato e gestito da Antonio Sanò, giovane ingegnere ambientale di successo, non per scelta ma per passione: quella per le nuvole.

Minimalism, rigor, and monochrome white were the essential elements of the Estel Project for the new iLMeteo.it headquarters. The new offices are located in the futuristic Net Center Building in Padua: a luxurious and dynamic environment, an ideal location for the company wanting to project a modern and prestigious image. The Altagamma meeting tables, the Asterisco In desks with surfaces in white back-painted frosted glass, the Tulip armchairs, and the George sofas and the Kab chairs ensure the minimalism and strict aestheticism required of the new executive and representative offices of the weather forecasting site with the greatest following in Italy. A web “giant” created and managed by Antonio Sanò, a successful young environmental engineer, not by choice but for passion: a passion for clouds.

Nel centro storico di Firenze presso il giardino Torrigiani, ci siamo trovati in presenza di una location con locali prestigiosi dotata di pareti affrescate con stucchi, soffitti altissimi e decorati, pavimenti in legno, il tutto protetto dai vincoli architettonici delle belle arti. Il compito di arredarlo ad uso direzionale, sala campionario e zona segreteria con accoglienza, in modo non invasivo Ă¨ stata la nostra mission, inserendo pareti mobili open space tutto cristallo con struttura lucida SlimBox, arredi direzionali con utilizzo di materiali in cristallo e pelle con laccature opache Altagamma, zona accoglienza con arredi in nuove e moderne finiture e contenimenti con moduli a giorno e vani chiusi per rendere leggero il contesto, il tutto corredato da un sistema di illuminazione in linea con l'ambiente.

In the historical centre of Florence, precisely in the Torrigiani Garden, we find ourselves in the presence of prestigious spaces endowed with frescoed plaster walls, high decorated ceilings, and wooden parquet floors, which are all protected by the architectural restrictions of fine art. Our mission was to find a non-invasive way to furnish this space with executive offices, a model/sample room and a reception/administration area. We did this by using completely transparent SlimBox open space mobile partitions, executive furniture made from crystal and leather material with Altagamma opaque finishes, new and modern furnishings in the reception area with open module and closed compartment cabinets to lighten the context, and the whole supplied with a lighting system in line with the environment.

Forogy combines a dual international experience in the field of innovation: the talent and resources of the Information Technology sector with the development of important services computer. The headquarters in Barcelona has been designed with Estel to achieve a unique and practical environment, highlighting the functionality of this installation through the use of glass partitions with strong emphasis graphic.

SilentBox è un ambiente silenzioso ma aperto all’esterno, l’essenza della privacy che incontra la luce delle grandi pareti in vetro per ufficio con vetro doppio. Stile, funzionalità e grande flessibilità d’uso, grazie ad una vasta scelta di tipologie, giunti, angolari e porte con ottime prestazioni d’isolamento acustico. Un design minimale ma deciso che s’impone in ogni contesto in maniera elegante ed efficace: sale riunione, sale conferenza, sale formazione, area direzionale e ogni ambiente dove siano richieste alte prestazioni acustiche e un alto valore estetico.

SilentBox offers a quiet environment that is open to the outside, the essence of privacy encountering the light from the large double glazed office walls. Style, functionality and great flexibility in use, thanks to a wide selection of types, joints, corners and doors with excellent acoustic insulation performance. A minimalist but determined design that imposes itself elegantly and effectively in every context: in meeting rooms, conference rooms, training rooms, executive office areas and in any environment that demands both high acoustic performance and high aesthetic value.

Installation from 12.000m2 with individual elements such as curved walls in laminwood, Silent box doors and walls with frames in natural wood, blind Walltech walls and the project making use of the full range of Estel products. Furthermore, an interesting chapter in this installation is the special furniture for the reception and executive areas of the building realised in burnished brass and leather.

Walltech is the meeting between absolute functionality and pure design in office partitions, even self-supporting frame structures which adapt to any layout and any need. A line of office partitions with a wide range of solid and glazed modules, connecting elements, high acoustic absorption rate, compatibility with all Estel partition systems. Wall units equipped with lever bolt locks to ensure a perfect closure for the entire height of the doors, shelves, interior drawers, folder holders, and removable files. In addition, Walltech provides a full range of functional accessories for rationally and efficiently organising office work, in the name of recuperating space, personalization and easy access to documents.

Casa Carpisa, at the Nola Interport, with an area of over 10,000 square meters, with a staff of 300 employees, is a technologically innovative and unmatched structure. News e Slim sono modularità e privacy studiata ad hoc per ambienti di lavoro condivisi da più persone. News è un sistema di setti divisori, con cornice in alluminio e struttura a sandwich di 11 cm di spessore. Elettrificabile e integrabile con i programmi d’arredo per ufficio Estel. Può essere attrezzato con barra di elettrificazione, schermo in vetro superiore o vetri a telaio, che aumentano la privacy e l’isolamento acustico delle singole postazioni. Slim è una paretina divisoria e strutturale, dello spessore di 3 cm, costituita da un pannello cieco o vetrato, circondato da una cornice tecnica in alluminio. Il particolare sistema di giunzione tra i singoli elementi permette di sviluppare composizioni semplici e complesse, integrate con piani di lavoro di tutte dimensioni. Le diverse finiture assegnano alla paretina la funzione di elemento fonoassorbente o modulatore della privacy visiva. La flessibilità della paretina Slim offre infinite opportunità interpretative dello spazio ufficio.

News and Slim are modules for privacy especially designed for work environments shared by multiple workers. News is a system of dividing partitions, with an aluminium frame and an 11cm thick sandwich structure that can be electrically wired and integrated with Estel office furniture programs. It can be equipped with an electrical supply bar, upper glass screen or glass frame, which increases the privacy and acoustic insulation of the individual stations. Slim is a 3cm thick dividing and structural partition, formed by a blind panel or glass, surrounded by a technical frame in aluminium. The special system of the joints between the individual elements allows development of simple and complex compositions, supplemented with work surfaces of all sizes. The different finishes determine the function to the partition: either sound-absorption or visual privacy. The flexibility of the Slim partition offers endless opportunities for interpreting the office space.

Estel ha arredato gli uffici della sede milanese PWC, progettata da Renzo Piano. Lo studio degli architetti Amati e Pesatori hanno curato il progetto di distribuzione interna, architettonico e impiantistico di tutti gli uffici, che si sviluppano su 6 piani, su una superficie di oltre 16 mila mq. Il piano tipo è caratterizzato da uffici chiusi e aree open space, ugualmente rappresentativi del livello di finitura, per rafforzare il senso di unitarietà del progetto, evitando così di creare gerarchie. La necessità di esprimere concetti di trasparenze e leggerezza ha determinato la scelta del vetro come elemento caratterizzante di tutte le suddivisioni.

Estel has furnished the Milan headquarters of the PWC, designed by Renzo Piano. The architectural firm of Amati and Pesatori has taken care the project for the internal distribution, architecture and layout of all the offices, which are spread over 6 floors, covering an area of over 16 thousand square meters. The layout type is characterized by enclosed offices and open space areas, equally representative of the level of finishing, for strengthening the project’s sense of unity, thus avoiding the creation of hierarchies. The need to express the concepts of transparency and lightness has determined the choice of glass as a characteristic feature of all the subdivisions.

POLITICA AMBIENTALE / ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY La politica ambientale di Estel I valori, la strategia e gli obiettivi di un’azienda sono espressi nella sua politica, ed uno dei cardini della politica di Estel è rappresentato dalla tutela dell’ambiente, che si concretizza attraverso il rispetto della legislazione vigente, la prevenzione dell’inquinamento, la progressiva riduzione delle emissioni e del consumo di risorse, l’utilizzo di materiali riciclati e riciclabili. Per garantire questi risultati, Estel mantiene attivo un Sistema di Gestione Ambientale conforme ai requisiti della norma UNI EN ISO 14001, tramite il quale stabilisce gli obiettivi di miglioramento. Dal momento che la politica rappresenta il punto di riferimento operativo quotidiano per l’intero management aziendale, viene assicurato il massimo impegno da parte dell’azienda per raggiungere gli obiettivi ambientali in essa espressi.

Estel’s environmental policy The values, the strategy and the objectives of a company are reflected in its policy and one of the mile stones of Estel’s policy is represented by the environmental protection, which is implemented through the compliance with the legislation in force, the pollution prevention, the progressive reduction of the emissions and of the resource consumption, as well as the use of recycled and recyclable materials. In order to grant these results, Estel boasts an Environment Management System in compliance with the requirements of the UNI EN ISO 14001 standard, through which it sets the objectives of its improvement. Since this policy represents the daily operative reference point for its whole business management, the company fully commits itself in order to achieve its environmental goals.

Design ecosostenibile I prodotti Estel soddisfano le esigenze dell’utente promuovendo nel contempo uno sviluppo sostenibile attraverso un ridotto consumo di risorse ed un basso livello di inquinamento. Estel ottiene questo risultato ispirandosi in tutte le fasi, dalla progettazione alla realizzazione fino alla eliminazione a fine vita dei propri prodotti, a criteri di eco sostenibilità quali: - selezione attenta dei materiali: i materiali lignei utilizzati provengono da riciclo assieme ai metalli e vetri e sono tutti riciclabili, hanno garanzia illimitata e un valore destinato a crescere nel tempo; il materiale ligneo inoltre è certificato FSC®, e ciò garantisce il cliente finale che il legno utilizzato nella fabbricazione del prodotto proviene da foreste gestite secondo standard internazionali di salvaguardia sia degli aspetti ambientali sia di quelli socio-economici legati alla foresta, a tutela del patrimonio forestale mondiale; - selezione dei fornitori, privilegiando quelli in possesso di certificazioni ambientali quali UNI EN ISO 140011 o FSC; - scelte progettuali eco-sostenibili, che consentano alla fine della vita utile del prodotto, il suo facile disassemblaggio e la possibilità di destinare al riciclo i vari tipi di materiali che lo costituiscono.

Eco sustainable design Estel’s products meet their users’ needs by promoting, at the same time, a sustainable development through a reduced consumption of resources and a low level of pollution. Estel has achieved this goal by drawing inspiration in all the phases, ranging from planning to implementation up to the elimination of its products at the end of their life, from eco sustainability criteria, such as: - a careful selection of materials: the wooden materials that are used are recycled, just like metals and glass, they are all recyclable, have got an unlimited warranty and a value that will increase over time; furthermore, its wooden material is FSC® certified and this assures to the final client that the wood, used to manufacture its products, comes from forests that are managed according to international standards of protection, as regards to both environmental aspects and social-economic aspects linked to forests in order to protect the world forestry heritage; - the selection of suppliers, privileging those who own environmental certifications, such as UNI EN ISO 140011 or FSC; - eco sustainable planning choices, enabling, at the end of the useful life of a product, to easily disassemble it and to recycle the various types of materials that make it up.

Cicli produttivi rispettosi dell’ambiente Consapevole che un prodotto è fatto anche dai cicli produttivi necessari a realizzarlo, Estel privilegia cicli produttivi rispettosi dell’ambiente, quali la verniciatura all’acqua che, oltre a ridurre fortemente l’impatto ambientale, contribuisce alla salubrità dell’ambiente all’interno del quale viene collocato il prodotto. I processi produttivi sono inoltre controllati facendo affidamento su sofisticate apparecchiature di misura o ricorrendo ad analisi di parte terza svolte da laboratori altamente qualificati. L’azienda, infine, è impegnata in un’attività di miglioramento dei propri cicli produttivi, il cui risultato è la crescita sostenibile di Estel, infatti l’azienda è riuscita ad aumentare i propri volumi produttivi diminuendo il consumo di risorse e riducendo le emissioni inquinanti, in particolare quelle di anidride carbonica.

Environmental friendly productive cycles Estel is aware that a product is also made up of the productive cycles that are needed to manufacture it, therefore it privileges environmental friendly productive cycles, such as water-based painting, which not only strongly reduces the environmental impact, but also contributes to protect the environment in which the product is placed. The productive processes are also controlled by means of sophisticated measurement appliances or of third party analyses, carried out by highly qualified laboratories. Furthermore, the company is also carrying out an activity aimed at improving its productive cycles, whose result is Estel’s sustainable growth, indeed the company managed to increase its productive volumes and to reduce the consumption of resources as well as to reduce the polluting emissions, specifically carbon dioxide ones.

Imballi ecosostenibili Nella progettazione dell’imballaggio, Estel ricerca materiali con basso impatto ambientale, principalmente il cartone e, ove tecnicamente possibile, utilizza imballaggi fabbricati con materiali di riciclo; Estel studia inoltre il metodo di imballaggio per ridurre al minimo la quantità di materiale utilizzato e per consentire il riempimento ottimale dei mezzi di trasporto che, assieme ad una efficiente logistica distributiva, consente di minimizzare il numero dei mezzi utilizzati e quindi l’inquinamento acustico ed atmosferico generato dagli stessi.

Eco sustainable packages In the design of its packages, Estel uses materials with a low environmental impact, mainly cardboard and, where technically possible, it uses packages made of recycled materials. Furthermore Estel tries to find the right packaging solution not only to reduce to a minimum the quantity of the material used, but also to allow the full loading of its means of transport so that it is possible - together with an efficient distribution logic - to reduce the number of means used and therefore the acoustic and atmospheric pollution generated by them.
