CASHLESS PAYMENTS 3.8.4 OPTIONS TO ENCOURAGE UPTAKE OF CASHLESS PAYMENTS Several suggestions for encouraging uptake of cashless payments were made (Figure L). Top of the list was the need to create awareness, provide training and sensitise workers about cashless payments (31.2 percent). Others suggested the removal of transaction costs, addressing concerns about payment reversals, regulations to force compliance, and the rollout and acceptance of alternative payments, like the Visa card.
