PFM 614 Pipe Facing Machine OD Mounted Pipe Facing Machine The Model PFM 614 is a portable OD mount machine for beveling and facing 6” through 14” pipe. An optional kit is available that allows beveling on 4" pipe. Production cycle times from prep to prep of under one minute can be achieved with this high RPM facing machine. • Up to 2.48" (63mm) wall thickness. • Optional short perch kit for use when limited clamping surface is available. • Safety chip guard with integral auto shutoff.
PFM 816 Pipe Facing Machine ID Mounted Pipe Facing Machine The Model PFM 816 is a portable ID mount machine for beveling and facing 8” through 16” pipe. PFM 1632 Pipe Facing Machine Accuracy, Power and Performance The Model PFM 1632 is a portable ID mount machine for beveling and facing 16” through 32” pipe. This high performance machine is the fastest in the industry, delivering complete bevels in under 2 minutes on 1.5" wall pipe. PFM 3248 Pipe Facing Machine The Ultimate Pipeline Powerhouse The PFM 3248 is a portable ID mount machine tool for beveling, facing, and/or counterboring 32” through 48” pipe. Powerful twin hydraulic drive motors and helical gears provide for smooth power delivery and optimal surface finish. A set of hydraulic cylinders with rapid and slow feed control, advance and feed the cutting head into the pipe. Internal alignment clamps are available in many configurations and sizes to fit your application such as the ILUC 810 (top) and the ILUC 1012 (bottom).
The ILUC clamp series was developed to provide internal line up for welding of small-bore piping systems. This modular system allows for many different configurations to fit a wide variety of applications. Available options include copper backing for root pass integrity, purge dams for TIG welding, and a pneumatic drive system for horizontal operations. For vertical use, an emergency brake system is actuated on loss of pneumatic pressure or electrical current preventing the clamp from dropping into the pipeline. • Rapid and dependable weld alignment of pipeline sections. • Fifteen model sizes for pipe from 6” (168mm) to 60” (1524mm). • Pipe rounding capabilities are available as an option on internal clamp sizes 18” (457mm) and above.

Tri Tool’s advanced special engineering capabilities were utilized to safely and successfully complete a pipeline maintenance project on the Alaska Pipeline. By modifying Tri Tool® splitframe lathes, workers were able to sever out a section of the pipeline that contained a malfunctioning valve, while ensuring that the new valve section could be welded in accurately and with a minimal amount of down time. Laser Dimensioning System Portable Precision Measuring The Laser Dimensioning System (LDS) offers portable, ultra precision measuring. Using laser sensors, the LDS determines physical displacement without contacting the object. A servo driven rotating platform is securely mounted into the pipe. The control unit determines reference points around the circumference and reports the dimensions graphically or by spreadsheet. ID, OD, and wall thickness are reliably recorded, enabling pipe to be sorted according to whether specific wall thickness and optimum fit criteria, etc. have been met. • Positive pneumatic mounting. • Measures full 360º rotation. • Simple set-up and operation. • Reliable accurate recording.
OD Turning System Tri Tool’s OD Turning System was developed to extend the capabilities of the 200 Series BEVELMASTER® ID Mounted Beveling System. WPS - Weld Profiling System Reliable Weld Reinforcement

The Model WPS is a portable machine for weld crown removal that strengthens the weld and produces a smooth surface for X-ray and A.U.T. testing. WPS systems, based on our proven 600 Series Clamshell, can be configured for profiling on the ID or OD surface as required.

HSS - High Speed Sever System Split Frame High Speed In-Line Severing and Beveling The HSS Series machines are OD mounted split frame lathes used for high speed severing of in-line pipe on offshore weld cut-outs. Based on the rugged 600 series Clamshell platform, the unit features OD tracking for out-of-round conditions, and has an optional template tracer. Coating Removal Systems Remove Pipe Coatings Quickly and Easily The Coating Removal System was developed to address challenges faced during pipeline maintenance that required the efficient removal of pipe coating material. Utilizing Tri Tool’s proven standard pipe cutting technology, its Model 200 Series tool has been adapted to meet this challenge. Up to 4” (101mm) thick coating can be removed from the OD of the pipe with a tracking module so as not to cut into the parent material of the pipe. HPU 7560/5 Hydraulic Power Unit Dependable Power for TRI TOOL® PFM Series This heavy-duty, dual-pump (60 GPM and 5 GPM), pressure compensated, hydraulic supply unit is designed specifically to provide power for the Tri Tool PFM Series equipment. The 5 GPM pump (at 2000 psi) provides feed and clamping power and the 60 GPM pump powers the cutting head drive. The HPU 7560/5 is pendant controlled (up to 50 ft. away) and is skid mounted for portability on the work site. • Pumps provide optimum pressure response to cutting loads • Filtered to prevent contamination circulating to the pump • Units can be custom built with diesel power if required.
