Sandvik 19.9.LR (Covered electrodes) Sandvik 19.9.LR is a covered chromiumnickel electrode with rutileacid coating for welding of steels of ASTM 304 types as well as overlays giving 308 type composition. The electrode has excellent arc stability and fast burn off rate with minimal stub loss. It is also characterized by improved moisture resistance, self peeling slag, easy post weld finishing. Sandvik 19.9.LR gives smooth uniform beads and works in any standard weld position. Applications

Sandvik 19.9.LR is used for welding steels of the following types: UNS

S30400, S30403, S30409 and S30453

ASTM

301, 304L, 304LN, 304 and 302

In cases where creep strength is of secondary importance Sandvik 19.9.LR is suitable for welding stabilized austenitic steels, e.g. ASTM 321 and 347. When a weld metal similar to the parent metal is not required Sandvik 19.9.LR can be used for welding ferritic and martensitic steels. STANDARDS
